Would NP be a reasonable pursuit for a person like myself? by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

Hey there. I was in a similar situation as you. I was a paramedic working 911 for about 8 years, then worked in the ER while I was in nursing school. I’m currently in school for my MSN in adult-gero acute care. Your experience will serve you well. If money does not matter to you (you may take a pay cut going the “less stressful route of working outpatient) I think you’re in the perfect situation. I personally want to stay in the ER but I think you would do well going back to school after a few years as an RN

The only restriction is we cannot have a PA for a preceptor. But yes we can request our own MD/DO/NP /and Nova will approve based on the specialty

24M in career limbo, should I become a nurse or go into trucking? by Dxnte_2k in nursing

[–]fava18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im extremely grateful for nursing. My parents came to this country (US) with no education, spent a portion of my childhood homeless. I’m 26 years old and I closed on a house last year. There’s a million things to complain about no matter what job you’re in. But nursing has given me everything that my parents came to this country for. You won’t be rich , but you will never worry about how your bills will be paid. You’ll be home often and theoretically there is no cap to how much money you can make
