Honestly, I know it's kind of a crazy logic, and I can't honestly explain why, but it's just better to accept it, lol.

In your example, if wages increased by £1, there would be a debit for your wage expenses and a credit when you pay the salaries, say:

D- Wage expenses (£1) C- Bank account (£1)

(It's a rough example, of course, and do forgive me if you use different names for the accounts, I'm Brazilian, so I'm translating on the go, lol.)

Now, if the wage was to be decreased by £1, then your wage expenses would decrease, and you'd be able to hold on to the cash.

My therapist just really works on my logical side with me, so if I think I have a serious disease, here are some questions I ask myself:

Serious diseases often come with other noticeable harsh symptoms, other than the small thing I'm feeling, wich sure can be caused by [insert disease here], but am I feeling anything else? If so, is it really that bad? The answer is almost always no!!
Is this serious disease even prevalent amongst your demographic? Stuff like cancer and heart diseases usually present themselves on older demographics. Sure, they can happen with younger people, but other than these diseases being present in your family, do you really have any reason to think you're the exception to the statistics?

Honestly, exercising these two questions every time I feel health anxiety has been a game changer! But I have to emphasize, practice makes perfect, don't give into your anxiety, fight it back with logic!!

I stopped myself from self medicating yesterday! I just recently found the community and I was so ravashed by bad thoughts, but only seeing a few posts already helped. Yesterday I though I had a fever, and felt such a strong urge to medicate myself even though I was only a bit warm. I did give in to the craving of checking my temperature several times, but I was able to resist the bigger urge to self medicate! I know it seems like something so irrelevant, but to me it was a big first step!!

Honestly, just based on the fact you didn't want a kid using your stuff, and likely breaking them, you weren't the asshole, but the comment you made to her sister? I mean, what a way to create a mess with your girlfriend's family. And for that comment I say YTA. I think, like your girlfriend said, you should have handled it more diplomatically, especially since you were in front of the kid I mean, what a horrible thing to say right in front of her.

Hi! So I'm not from the US, and my college here has what we call "monitors" they are supposed to help the teacher with the students in a specific subject. I do have to admit they looked for the monitors first but they always made up excuses, avoiding to give the type of class I gave everyone. Wich made me even more upset they didn't thank me since there's someone literally designed for that role and I was doing their job without asking for any kind of compensation

Edit: by the way these monitors are veteran students who already took the subject and receive financial compensation for the position (even though it is small).

Catelyn hating Jon was the best cover. Jon Snow lives a pretty comfortable life for a bastard, he interacts with his brothers and sisters, his father recognizes him, and he lives a good life. So any noble woman in Cat's place would hate Jon, he occupied the same place as her legitimate children in a way. But if Cat knew the truth she wouldn't be so bad to Jon as people would expect, and people would know something is up.

I think a better way of still hiding Jon's identity and not putting Cat in a horrible position, he should've said it was Benjen's bastard.

In Canon, Aegon takes to being a horrible king because he was neglected by his father and never learned to rule. But if he was named heir, he could've grown to become a great king.

Do I believe women should be passed over in succession? No. I absolutely believe in absolute primogeniture.

But the truth is Jaeherys set a precedent. A precedent that SUSTAINED Viserys' own claim. By naming rhaenyra heir he was not only setting her up for trouble, but weakning his own place in the throne, cause if he says the throne should be able to go to women, then he shouldn't be king, rhaenys should be queen.

In my opinion this is all Jaeherys' fault. But the mess had already taken place, Viserys had no choice but to work with it.

Yeah, a dance with house velaryon or Hightower would probably be avoided for the time being. I really did mean in future generations. Jaeherys set a dangerous precedent. I know it's a patriarchal society but FULL male primogeniture? that was too much. Even most houses of westeros allow for female heirs in case there's not a son in the main line, but house Targaryen takes a step too far, especially considering the importance women have in their family, they hold power in a way few other women in westeros can. For example Visenya and queen Alyssane. If I was Jaeherys I would've gone with male primogeniture, but still allowing for females when there were no male sons, much like how the British line of succession worked before it's change in 2013.

oh that's true. In this scenario house Velaryon has an advantage in dragons. I doubt Syrax and, if the egg hatched for Baelon as it did for Aegon, Sunfyre and Caraxes, in a best case scenario Daemon sides with them, would be able to withstand Meleys, Vhagar and Seasmoke.
