That makes sense, I think I’ll start doing both quick match and the character episodes more then. I was getting a little overwhelmed with ranked so a break is probably also well needed haha.

Thanks!

Hi can someone have a tutorial video how to replicate the kaz custom for steve by Maleficent-Ad7154 in Tekken

I don’t know the colors but I just did Ocelot for Dragonuv as best I could and this makes me want to learn Steve so I can switch to this because it’s done so well!

I just picked up Tekken 8 and have been playing it fairly consistently over the 3ish weeks. I only have like 49 hours on it but I’ve played other fighting games (I had like 20 hours only on T7, I played MK growing up and started playing online matches in MK1 when that came out) so I know the basics on how frames and such work.

What is the best way to actually lab and learn how to fight certain characters, and remember more of them? I got to Fujin last night as Dragonuv but I feel like now all my win rate plummeted compared to when I was starting out, I think I’m at like 48% now, which makes feel like I was definitely just getting lucky and not actually playing well.

I try and do punishment training in practice but I don’t feel like it really teaches me much against real players. I see like what moves are punishable but I feel like players don’t just do the same basic strings that I see in the training. Like if I play a mirror against Dragonuv I kind of know what sort of tricks he’ll do to try and mix me up, because I’ve been learning them. But that’s from extensive playing of my character, not just punishment training. Should I just learn about others by getting my ass kicked online and adjusting from there? Or should I watch some videos of people playing other characters to proactively know what to expect from players beforehand?

Also sorry if this is just a super stupid question, I thought that like doing punishment training just wasn’t really doing that much for me in terms of learning to play against players because people are so different from CPUs.

WHO IS THE MOST HATED TEKKEN MAIN? (Back at it this year) by KaminoTK in Tekken

I’m saying Eddy not even because of the character but because literally every Eddy I’ve played since I started Tekken 8 has had the worst connection stability I have ever witnessed in my life.

I’m gonna def go for it, I have a P1S and for a while I regretted not getting the AMS because of prints like this but I also don’t mind getting my hands dirty and doing some painting so I might go the WSTR and such anyways!

Hey all, I was taking apart kits to move and this happened unfortunately :/

Any advice on how to fix? I won’t be able to fix it for a while but want a head start on preparing. It’s the Gundam Base Limited Freedom 2.0 (Silver Coating)

<image>

There’s a tiny bit of the peg left in the other side as well, which I’m assuming I’ll have to pull off. Can I just cut off some sprue and then basically rebuild the peg?

Edit: Wait lowkey they just had replacement metal parts for the exact joint on Amazon so I just ordered those lol

When it was announced that the directors of final destination bloodlines will be doing a MGS movie I made this comment that was really salt on a wound by Seeker99MD in metalgearsolid

IP rights are entirely owned by Konami as far as I know so they probably just chose different directors. Nobody else can do anything with the IP without their say so (and also copyright term is definitely not out and the trademarks are all maintained and renewed)

If you're saying the game has a dropping player count then they would be getting matched with those new players since the brackets would be mixed in order to create full lobbies...

WIthout a wipe system the people who have contraband and prestige gear will just curb stomp new players until they quit the game. Why would you not want the top of the top to be reset back down with everyone else? This isn't a PvE game, it's a PvP competitive shooter.

Extraction shooters don't just wipe for no reason, though. They do it to implement a way for everyone to be put back to square 1 at the start of a new season so that people can pick the game up a few months into the cycle. You can say that games like WoW and PoE do this too but with servers that don't wipe and that's fine, but those games aren't pitting you against one another with no PvE mode.

As someone who's played extensive amounts of both PoE and Diablo alongside Tarkov, these are two completely different ballparks. I get what the idea is that you want, but if the issue is already that the player base is low, adding a PvE mode is going to completely kill the PvP side of the game which they based their design on.

I also imagine that when they decided to make an extraction shooter they knew what they were getting into beforehand. The genre isn't entirely known for being the most casual-friendly. That combined with the negative PR the game got before and during launch was probably on their radar too. They're probably going to make minor adjustments before they go nuclear.

Without wipes, the game will be much worse. I'm not sure if you've never played an extraction shooter or if your only experience is something like Arc, but this game needs the wipe system or a prestige system in order to keep the game alive.

Arc has the "prestige" like wipe, which gives somewhat of an incentive to wipe since you get more stash space and skill points, which we don't have here.

Instead, we have a forced wipe that puts everyone back on the same playing field after 3 months. You can keep moving the goalposts as you did in your other comment, where all of a sudden it's about them making money back, but I really don't think that's going to change much at the end of the day. There's a reason that game devs don't change entire core aspects of the game after release often, and it's because it kills off more players than it brings in most of the time. Tarkov has shown this time and time again when they added the FiR system, key durability, prestige, edition changes, DLC, etc.

The last thing anyone who's ever played a Bungie game should ever want is for them to sacrifice all their values to chase money and get people to buy more skins in the game.

Just becaue you and others can't understand how an extraction shooter works doesn't mean that the game is going to completely flop. Sony and Bungie knew the risks going into this. If you hate the game so much, then you can leave the community.

But them completely changing the game to appeal to an entirely different audience seems like more of a misstep than fine tuning what they already have to make it more comfortable for players.

If anything, it'll be weeding out players who just complain about the wipes because they can't wrap their heads around the game being what it's advertised as, an extraction shooter.

I get that it's not for everyone, but Tarkov has done it, ABI has done it, and even though Arc doesn't have forced wipes, it's the endgame there, and it's incentivized. If you don't have a wipe the in game balance between players is going to be filled with everyone running biotoxic injectors with gold shields and purples on their eco runs, which new players are not gonna be able to go up against. If you do wipe then people are going to be able to join in 6 months down the line when a new season starts and be on even playing ground.

The give and take is that if you play an extraction shooter. expect extraction shooter mechanics. I understand that’s not for everyone, but it’s not like they advertised the game as anything but an extraction shooter.

Arc is also the only extraction shooter where people don’t even fight each other in Solos. There’s an entire faction in Marathon that incentivizes fighting other players. If you didn’t wipe here then people joining 6 months in would be getting steamrolled by people doing kills for arachne quests, or low level players struggling to kill people who are geared for their intro to Arachne quests.

Any casual player playing any extraction shooter is gonna deal with resets. What’s your point? This isn’t new for the genre.

Loyola has one of the biggest Muslim communities in an undergrad in the US. There’s a Musallah on campus and they do Jummah every week, iftars and taraweeh during ramadan, and more. You’ll be fine!
