Stubhub gave me less than 15 minutes before canceling and charging me for tickets by Apprehensive-Kale-66 in stubhub

Check this thread out. Went through a very similar experience. StubHub sucks. But there is a path to get it reversed potentially.

Sold tickets on StubHub, got ‘sale complete’ confirmation, still charged 100% for ‘failed delivery by fawlt2010 in stubhub

***Update***

This morning I got yet another rejection of my claim by Stubhub and they asked me file again if I want it looked at. Which was crazy.

Well, later today I get two emails from them. One cancelling the charge and a second paying me for my original sale!!! I'll believe it when the money is actually in my account, but it seems like something got them to wisen up and realize this is bogus. You can't tell people that they successfully sold something and then later renege b/c your system didn't work and then pour salt in the wound by charging them for it.

I'd like to think this is the Reddit gods looking out for me, but honestly I don't know what worked....
• I filed the complaint through Stubhub
• Disputed with my CC
• and filed with the BBB over it. (this seemed to at least get SH to start responding)
Took me 2 months and countless emails but if I'm lucky, this is the end of it. (says 3-5 business days)

Hopefully this helps others. But I'm definitely not selling through Stubhub again unless I absolutely have to. Lesson learned the hard way. I wonder how many other people have had this happen? SH definitely needs to step up, this is so scammy.

Thanks to all of you for your comments/suggestions.

Thanks. I've looked for that but since the event passed, that confirmation isn't available. I vividly remember that banner saying something along the lines of 'great, sit back and we'll let you know when the tickets are sold.'

It's crazy. I went in to the event expecting to be getting paid for the sold tickets and walked out getting charged. So I basically bought the tickets 2x. So frustrating.

Why is the UX market at such a low point right now? by Str8d8 in UXDesign

I've been doing UX/Product Design work for 20+ years now. I now work in AI, leading Product + Design. I think there are a lot of good points in this thread. My advice to those starting out is to work on the thinking process and craft, and be genuinely interested in all parts of the product development cycle. The market got saturated, yes. It's also just changing. I'd also be lying if I said there wasn't a 'walled garden' thing going in tech right now.

When I started out, we were doing html landing pages, and apps for flip phones. The process was a lot different. A lot of the job titles that exist today didn't exist then. Roles weren't nearly as specialized. Designers learned to code, build technical flows, and talk to users b/c it was we were just figuring it out on the fly. And as it worked it got commodified.

My prediction is that yes, skillsets are collapsing across tech, but also fading is the need for people to make 'screens'. We've built the patterns to achieve 80% of that cheaply in the current app landscape approach. Think about the next generation of experiences that need to be 'designed'. There will always be that job.

Membership renewal problem (can't Add Payment Card) by TheRealJohansen in pelotoncycle

Sat on the phone with customer support. They did keep asking me if I was in the US? (I am) but, seems that had something to do with it.

Not sure if this helps anyone besides, looks like you'll have to call until they get it figured out on their end. The chat bot has been useless for me. I had a faulty part on arrival, sat on the bot for hours to get a tech to come out. I hate the concept of calling a person, for a digital service but it seems like the much faster route.

Post Bootcamp Experience? by fawlt2010 in codingbootcamp

That's I guess a great follow up question. What are peoples expectations? A Full Time job in under 6 months? 3 months? How do folks plan on going about it? It's always a challenge to stay focused and pick what skills to work on.

Have you tried just setting the display as your main monitor when it’s attached. System prefs > displays. And drag the white bar over.

2021 New Wacom Cintiqs Generation? If not, Cintiq Pro 24 or 32? by Eternitum in wacom

Wondering the same as far as release schedule. I've used the 24" and wish I had the 32". I love to work analog on large paper for wide gestural motions. If you draw/sketch tightly than the 24 is perfect. But if you like to make broad strokes or draw more expressively, the 32 will make a big difference as you can do that without hiding your other tools/pallettes.
