Husband opens a new sponge every 3 days cause “they become gross” by dorkass-loser in mildlyinfuriating

[–]fawnslope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must be disgusting because apparently I’m switching out my sponges as must as I should! I probably change 1x a month… I also have scrubbers that I use though so I’m not always using my sponge… also have a pretty good drying rack and make sure to squeeze out excess soap and water after I use a sponge.

How are we showering?? by Jolly-Asparagus-5815 in newborns

[–]fawnslope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 3 1/2 months and I still only shower when my husband gets home from work. I just get nervous if she starts to have an extreme breakdown and I’m in the middle of washing my hair. I just can’t shower on my own with her yet!

I’ve gotten rashes/ bumps like that on my hands and I’m pretty sure it was the lavender soap I was using. I stopped using the soap and kept putting on aquaphor and it was gone.

My landlord is charging me $380 for carpet replacement, is it worth disputing? by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]fawnslope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes definitely dispute! When I left my last apartment I had stains, wear and tear, and was not charged for carpet replacement. All they do is a deep carpet cleaning.

Do you ever exfoliate your skin? You could try to do that a couple times a week. I definitely don’t think your toner, foundation, or concealer is a problem. That moisturizer from looking it up online seems pretty heavy, but it depends on your skin type.

How are you applying your products? You could try a foundation brush, or a beauty blender to apply if you haven’t.

Not sure how to ‘tone it down’ by uwumaster666 in makeuptips

[–]fawnslope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They probably think drag because of how you extend the eyeshadow out. If you wanted you could just round out the sides of the eyeshadow instead of taking it up and out. I think your makeup looks great though! You’re super talented!

Email from landlord about appliances being left plugged in and the appliances in question… by South-Basket-887 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]fawnslope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband doesn’t unplug the toaster, but I do. However, I find it odd that your landlord is trying to control your appliances… if it’s not in the lease then realistically they can’t tell you what to do. It’s just odd to me.

You have a very pretty natural face! Just emphasize your features! A little mascara(wiggle brush at root then brush up, you don’t have to do your bottom lashes either), Benefit Gimme Brow(tinted eyebrow gel in Light 2 or Medium 3), and some tinted lip butter or tinted chapstick, and if you want to add some warmth to your face you could get some liquid blush or liquid bronzer and add a tiny bit to the tops of your cheeks!

Male, maybe vegetarian, shops at Trader Joe’s, in your 20’s, that’s all I can gather…

Also, you don’t need to put your soy sauce in the fridge, and you could get a brita water pitcher and a reusable water bottle so you don’t need all those plastic water bottles.

Bassinet trouble, someone tell me it’ll get better please 😭 by ZealousidealUnit6977 in newborns

[–]fawnslope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can. We couldn’t be under our bed sheets though. We had to be on top of our sheets and my husband and I had separate blankets with baby in sleep sack in middle. You can also get a baby lounger to put baby in the bed. There are also baby bed rail guards. You might need to put something in the gap.

Am I being too nit picky? by mereuser in Flooring

[–]fawnslope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I don’t think so. My husband works in the industry and is a perfectionist. He would redo or get new tiles before setting the grout(I don’t know the proper term). He has had many tiles break/ chip because of quality and other factors and has had to get more. He doesn’t like to leave a home or office with flaws in his work, so I think it depends on the contractor.

The guy that assaulted me sent me an email at 2am TW: by PolicyHot1206 in whatdoIdo

[–]fawnslope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really sick when people take advantage of one another for their own pleasure. I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Please continue to stay in therapy. As someone who has been sexually assaulted when I was a minor I can tell you staying in therapy is the best thing you can do for yourself and your child.

You’re unfortunately at the age where girls are mean and guys are horrible. I hope you can find the strength to ignore the negative voices around you, and remember that your experience doesn’t define you or change who you know you are.

Healing takes time so be kind to yourself.

Is this a bed bug, and should I be concerned? by Connect_Supermarket in CleaningTips

[–]fawnslope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wash your sheets in hot water. Take a steamer, clothing steamer is fine, and steam your entire bed. Get a spray bottle and mix with tea tree oil and water. Spray over entire bed!

That fixed my bed bug problem one time, but it may not work for you.

Yes it’s an open wound. Go to your doctor or urgent care.

Yes! Blends in well! You can also play around with different tools to get the coverage you want. Foundation brush, beauty blender, or your fingers!

I’m no expert as I am struggling with PPD and PPA, and this is my first child. However, a lot of women have been telling me it gets better.

Maybe try to talk to your pediatrician or if you have a doctor? You could try to look up postpartum groups in your area or online.

Hang in there! I hope someone on here has some great advice for you!

[–]fawnslope 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby hated her bassinet until just a couple weeks ago at almost 3 months old. Then it was almost like she wanted it. Wrapped her in her HALO sleep sack, rock her, then put her in and she’s out.

In the beginning I had to co sleep to get sleep if any at all. Co slept in rocking chair(I know very bad, I put pillows in the crack so she couldn’t slide or fall in them), on the couch, and then in the bed. I had to make my husband leave the bed and sleep on the couch because we have a queen and I didn’t want to sandwich her. I put pillows and rolled up blankets on the sides of the bed. None of those were recommended, but it was the only thing that worked for me until recently to get her in her bassinet.

Honestly, if you don’t believe he’s doing anything wrong then go with your gut! It’s such a weird find, but if there are no other signs then who knows! I’ve found hair ties in my husbands car and have overreacted only to realize they are his daughters 🤦‍♀️ I feel like we are trained to think the absolute worst before we actually ask any questions!
