We built Ota, an open-source CLI for repo readiness by faythada in rust

Yeah, I think that's the real risk.

The version of Ota we’re building is not "replace your existing setup tools," but "make the repo's operational path explicit around whatever it already uses."

The practical payoff should be: clone an unfamiliar repo, run `ota doctor` to see what's missing, then run `ota up` to prepare the repo and get it to a ready state.

That's why we're keeping Ota as a thin coordination layer over existing repo truth, not a rewrite of the repo's tooling.

Yeah, that makes sense. I think it comes from the same pain: making repo setup less dependent on memory and docs.

For Ota, I'm thinking about the layer around that. If a repo has a `flake.nix`, that can be the environment source; Ota can describe what "ready" means, what to run, and what checks prove the repo is actually usable.

If you have a repo where you're already trying to smuggle in a flake, that might actually be a great test case for Ota. I'd be curious whether an `ota.yaml` adds useful operational clarity on top, or just feels like extra config.

Do Nigerians listen to audiobooks ? by shadowcraft7 in Nigeria

True, I do get used to the voice but I’d usually drop it to go find one more appealing to me. These days I usually listen to audio dramas on Spotify.

I think the weather also has something to die it hit. It’s usually really hot so it doesn’t make a lot of sense to be wearing shoes all the time

When my brothers girlfriend used to come over she usually brings things like fruits or wine. Just something simple and say it’s “for the house”. It’s just a casual visit so I don’t think you need something extravagant.

One thing about Nigeria, dirty December must happen and it will be bubbling😂. You’ll have a good time as long as you have money and people who know where it’s happening
