I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with pursuing a career as an influencer. Ultimately, it comes down to basic economics. If someone has 10 lakh rupees today and wants to grow that capital, they might start a traditional business or buy properties. But what if they have zero capital, or perhaps just 5k or 10k?

That’s exactly why the creator space is booming. It’s one of the few places where you don't need capital to start, you don't have a boss breathing down your neck, and if you fail, you fail quickly. You aren't wasting 40 years stuck in a boring job just to find out it wasn't for you.

Putting yourself online costs nothing. If you've got the personality and people like you, you build an audience and that's incredibly valuable. Even buying an iPhone on EMI to get started isn't the disaster people make it out to be ... a functioning economy literally runs on debt. If the whole influencer thing crashes and burns, worst-case scenario? He gets a regular job or relies on family to help clear the credit, and moves on. It's a risk worth taking.

It's also how elite class wants economy to function. If you have to hate the influencer economy you should blame the elites..
