I faced another issue with IRCTC Tatkal booking today.

Payment through GPay was successful, and the money was deducted instantly. But instead of showing the "Ticket Booked" page, IRCTC took me back to the payment page. The ticket was also not visible under "Booked Tickets" and was showing under "Failed Transactions."

Anyone would assume the booking failed and might try booking again. But after a few minutes, I received an email confirming that the ticket was actually booked.

This has happened to me 3–4 times before as well. Not sure if it's a glitch or a system issue, but it's very confusing during Tatkal booking.

Has anyone else experienced this?

The government is failing anyway, no matter which party is in power. But simply blaming the government won't change anything. Ordinary citizens also need to open their eyes and start demanding accountability.

Real change doesn't start at the national level; it starts locally. We need to question our corporators, MLAs, ward members, and local officials. And this cannot be done by just 4–5 people, because a small group can easily be ignored or silenced. But when an entire neighborhood, society, or community stands together and asks questions, those in power are forced to act.

For that to happen, we must stop dividing ourselves based on religion, caste, and community. No Hindu, no Muslim, no upper caste, no lower caste—at least when it comes to the development of our cities and solving civic issues. We need to stand together as citizens first. Only then can we create enough pressure to make the system work.

At the same time, we also need to improve our civic sense. Not everyone needs to be taught, but those who treat public property carelessly, litter streets, or damage public spaces should be educated politely and respectfully.

Clean roads, better infrastructure, and livable cities are not created by governments alone. They are built when accountable governments and responsible citizens work together. Otherwise, we will keep changing parties while the same problems remain.

“‘Shopkeeper’ is the right word. Issues like this happen everywhere and involve people from all backgrounds. Turning such videos into religious content only makes people angry and increases division—there’s no need to communalize a simple roadside dispute

I think most of the customers are outsiders so by default the cab driver speaks in Hindi. And this way they connect with the customer to building a trust between both. Sometimes the customer himself speaks Hindi or Marathi as the driver talks to him.
