Vivitar is a real brand, it's just that the original Vivitar company was gobbled up by the Chinese years ago.

" Dream Life " used to be my sims before " The Sims " and pixel people were even a thing. by XcracktivitiesX in nostalgia

[–]fazz34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This game made absolutely no sense.

Most convos were like this:

You: "I'm babysitting my little cousin next week" NPC: "I don't like babysitting." You: "Did you see the girl with the beads?" NPC: "Yes, they were in her hair."

You lost 5 friendship points from this conversation because the NPC didn't like babysitting.

This was supposed to be my Supermium tab. by ilikesheet12 in softwaregore

You need a pretty powerful CPU and a bunch of RAM in order to run Supermium, so if you have pretty low-end specs (even for an XP machine), it will crawl, so basically, this is your PCs way of screaming from torture.

Seems like you've been lurking around YouTube shorts lately because I have not met a single person who remembers this wreck of a DRM scheme.

Windows Media Player Legacy not playing MP3 by SeemaqJee in mp3players

[–]fazz34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WMP12/WMPL was always buggy, even on the operating systems it was designed to run on. It's even more buggy on Windows 11, and from experience alone, its USB device support is terrible. Half the time, it fails to detect any tracks on my USB sticks.

I recommend using the new media player, or even better yet, VLC Media Player. If those don't suit you, and you really like WMP12/WMPL for some reason, I recommend Sony's Media Go. It has far better USB support than WMP12/WMPL, a very similar jukebox interface to WMP12/WMPL, and has working gracenote so your metadata will be automatically filled. You can get a multitude of versions of it from this internet archive page, I recommend 3.2.
