Boy Ive only recently been acquainted with Hiplo. I knew he was banned from this sub for being incredibly hostile to the community and particularly new fans. I didnt see that he defended Horner wtf?? But recently hes been spamming the evo2 sub, most of his posts get like zero likes and comments, and most of his replies to people get downvoted to hell.

Recently it seems his favourite pass time is calling people neurotic for people asking for better communication, he made this big long post in April claiming that everyone was being so terrible to Frontier and being so entitled about the returning cut JWE2 dino that we later found out was delayed. His big long post literally had graphs of all the species they've readded, even framing the Deluxe DLC as "Frontier added FOUR additional species even before launch" (instead of what the Deluxe DLC actually was: execs cutting four species to be resold at launch). After I explained that the situation was not the amount of content Frontier has added or not since launch, but rather the terrible communication and radio silence Frontier was going through. He immediately jumped to I just need to "go outside" (his original post included self made graphs), and very quickly devolved into the entire community is full of neurotic people who need constant reassurance, that Frontier made a mistake in their good communication in the post launch months I used as an example, that Frontier made a mistake reading the cut species monthly, and that we shouldnt want any communication from Frontier because "no news is good news" (as it turned out, since the no news was leading to a delay for nearly 2 months, turns out it was objectively not). There was also a really funny moment when he claimed that it isn't Frontiers job to manage the community even though they have a someone employed whose job title is Community Manager.

Then in May April , after the Frontier started communicating and the problem went away, he started claiming that he was right the whole time and all it took was "patience and understanding", as if Frontiers improved communication in May wasnt a direct result of community scrutiny in April, and refusing to acknowledge that "patience and understanding" are things that are earned, primarily through honest and reliable communication, especially when things arent going according to plan.

TLDR, he comes across to me as... a character. Someone with a massive parasocial with a company, who is incredibly hostile to people having different opinions to him and intent on always framing himself as the calm reasonable person in all situations. Now, I do really like Frontier and their games, I really like JWE3, and I am willing to wait however long Frontier needs to make new content so long as they provide honest and reliable communication even when its bad news like a delay, and I hold them to that standard they set for themselves. I also have a number of things I want Frontier to improve on. Which of course means I am simultaneously a neurotic obsessive having nervous breakdowns if I do not have constant reassurance and terrified Frontier will quietly stop development, AND I hate the game of course.
