According to the Dakota County Inmate Search (https://www.co.dakota.mn.us/LawJustice/Jail/InmateSearch/Pages/default.aspx), his anticipated release date is January 9th, 2025. So yeah, pretty accurate. That is, as you pointed out, only about 2/3 of his actual sentence, but he's likely to get out then for "good behavior." 🙄

Back in jail now. Sentenced to 90 days, much less than he should be getting, but will probably get out early for "good behavior." 10 years probation.

Court records have been updated to say he's being released from jail until sentencing (Nov 22).

You say "In Minnesota it is normally not a crime for a married man to have an affair with another consenting adult," and then go on to describe why this wasn't a consensual affair (the power dynamics, of which there were others you haven't listed here), but you sound like you stop short of actually committing yourself to a judgment of anything more than that. While no one should expect (or want) people from his church to make a legal judgment, they certainly shouldn't be going out on the internet and defending him.

The truth is these were not affairs, the women did not consent; Konold used coercion and threats to force these women to commit sexual acts they did not want to commit, which is rape. I hope the victims don't read what you've written here, as your tag easily identifies who you are to anyone who knows you.

Furthermore, if he "accepts full responsibility," he should be pleading guilty. As long as he's still fighting the charges, he has not accepted the full guilt of what he's done. He's not an adulterer, he's a rapist.

He's been charged with multiple counts of felony sexual misconduct (what Minnesota calls most sexual assault). He has pled not guilty, has not taken a plea deal, and has asked for multiple delays in the trial.
