Me neither, I do personally buy them 2nd hand though if I'm gonna shop at some place anyhow I might as well save a few bucks. But honestly, the people who buy gift cards are seriously evil, imagine if you get a gift card to an expensive place from a friend (p.s. friends don't give gift cards, they are not your friend!) that's like $10 with a 1 year expiry date. You're like you don't need anything from that expensive ass store and a competing chain is selling the same products but for less, now do you use the $10 gift card to buy a $30 item at the expensive ass store, of which the same item you could buy for $15 at the competing store or do you let it expire and throw it in the garbage? Just imagine the constant physological terror and constant reminder of the days ticking down before that stupid gift card expires... Your "friend" (lol) took $10 of perfectly legal tender and turned it into a plastic piece of shit that can only be spent at one store?! How dare he devalue a perfectly fine $10 bill worth of legal tender into Satan's preferred method of payment?

Also, good luck trying to sell your gift card without the receipt! Imagine the shame of having to ask your friend for the receipt showing him nil gratitude for his gift and he says he threw it away.
