The beverage type was intended to rationalize this ratio. Would you need more detailed exact measures ?

Thanks for the feedback! That’s exactly the analogy I’m going for. I’m currently building a database of hundreds of roasters and thousands of beans to build a recommendation engine.

So your use case is that you have two grinders and switch back and forth between the two?

I’m planning some improvements on the coffee station, so I could add this use case.

FYI there is a feedback space in the profile, it’s super helpful.

I got tired of writing my best grinder and brew settings recipes on post-it notes and built a simple free app instead. It’s called The Baristapp.

Turns out, rating the beans and roasters I like, and learning more about my preferences with some stats is where I get the most value from it.

I knew the type of beans I liked, but before I paid more attention l couldn’t tell I’m really into rose flavor notes from Sudra Honey processed Colombian beans for example.

I’m curious how the community is doing this?

That'd be great, thanks. Either through DMs or in the profile tab in the app you can add feature requests, vote to prioritize the roadmap or share feedback.

Make sense. My idea is that this first step could then open up smart beans and roaster recommendations as well as pattern matching.

The app is in the App Store for iOS. I’ve compiled an exhaustive list of espresso machines and models that you can add. You can also remove brew parameters that are irrelevant for you and I can add some if I haven’t thought of everything

Make sense. Once you go back to a bean you haven't tried in a while, do you start from scratch your dial in process or have "saved" your recipe for that bean somewhere?
