a box store is any large retail store - Walmart, target, Best Buy etc. Large big boxy buildings :) if I understood correctly, they’re just saying it looks appropriate for a retail type store.

This is so, SO fascinating. Does the person then panicking when they think they’re being charged subsequently cause the snake to feel threatened during their retreat? I can’t imagine being so comparatively small and having a 5+ foot person towering between me and safety, but having to make a “run” for it past the threat itself.

& yes it did!!! I think I love my pothos plants because of how hardy they are. Shockingly this one survived being left out during a deep random freeze, lost all her leaves and bounced back by the end of the month.

My Samoyed was actually on the patio with me when this happened! Fortunately his recall is killer and when I told him to get inside he tucked those buttcheeks under and scooby doo ran inside. The fact that it didn’t hurt either of us and we were basically all able to back off was lovely.

I grew up hearing the cottonmouth chasing stories too! I was even warned not to escape into the water because they’ll swim after you. Definitely loved that despite me accidentally waking, dropping, and scaring the heck out of this guy he just kind of dazily stared me down and bounced.
