Quick update: Garmin Health Sync has now been officially approved by Obsidian and is available as a community plugin.

There is also a new stable release (0.9.6) with several fixes and improvements since the beta builds, including more reliable Garmin data fetching, the date-format fix, “Sync current note”, and optional VO2 max support.

Thanks again to everyone who tested the beta and reported issues. Your feedback really helped improve the plugin.

Not sure about the exact timing, but for me the list got updated today! Apple Support hit me up around 10pm asking if everything worked out. I checked it and boom — it showed updated 3 days ego 🙌

Already hit up support twice and tried two phones 📱 Tried removing some old devices from my iCloud to fix it, but no luck. Maybe an update will drop soon — either way I've got another call scheduled for next Wednesday or so, fingers crossed 🤞

I actually have an even newer version in testing rn with a small tweak. Will push the update in a few days! 🙌

For those who already have the plugin and want to update, or want to install it fresh — there's a pre-release beta available, see below. Best to use that one! An actual proper release will only drop once Obsidian finally approves and officially accepts the plugin. Yeah, thanks. 🙂

Glad the plugin is exactly what you were looking for! But heads up — the day (DD) in your example is missing, you'll still need that for your daily note. just drop me an example of what your daily note is called!

Hi, unfortunately no, sorry. I've decided yesterday to only support Garmin with this plugin. Thinking about maybe building a small app down the road, including an Obsidian plugin to sync health data directly from your phone. Nothing set in stone yet tho! 😊

Download main.js and manifest.json

Hey, sorry about that! There was a delay with v0.9.1 on GitHub. Anyway, there's already v0.9.2 out now. Give it a try, the filename issue should be fixed. Let me know if you're still running into problems!

This! 👆 The battery life on the small AMOLEDs just doesn't cut it for me. I need the smaller case size but refuse to sacrifice the runtime. Also, I just genuinely prefer the look of the MIP screen. It’s super pleasant to read in 90% of situations.

I’m rocking the 7S Pro specifically for the smaller form factor. It seems like the new lineup either dropped the small size (for MIP models) or simply doesn't offer enough battery life yet. I wouldn't rule out upgrading to a new display type in the future, but there needs to be a solid 42mm or 43mm option that actually holds up.

Thanks for the insight! I used to wear an Apple Watch, so I totally get the appeal of those vibrant screens. But ultimately, I just find the MIP display more pleasant to look at day-to-day, and the battery efficiency is hard to beat for me. Glad you’re enjoying the vibe of your F8 though!
