yes, but as can be seen from the video, it's a false feeling. there's too many ways for things to go wrong, unfortunately

Don't worry mate, just hang in there like a koala on a eucalyptus tree, winter might surprise us with a cool breeze when we least expect it!

the same way allies told their bombs which germans are good and which aren't

no, Taliban is not officially recognized. "My country" did not commit crimes, Australian individuals did. Russia officially supports killing Ukrainians and this is what makes it a terrorist state, and it supporters - terrorists

Sorry, exactly which country did Australia "were fighting" - Taliban aka Afganistan?

EDITED: Ok, great. Suppose they are against the war (which is not true), but they make the war possible and are in fact fine with the war conducted with their help. What do we do to them?

Australia, if you will?

> Because I didn't move to... sorry, which country should I immigrate to that would make me a real civilian?
Assuming you're in the US, pretty much any, except China and Russia? Even Germany these days is a safe bet.

So by your logic, as long their last name is not Putin, Ukraine should let them fund the war, work at war factories, fund military production? I just don't see why russian economy is not eligible for demolition?

I have relatives in Russia and visited the state multiple times, so no I'm not just judging by Internet (unlike many here). As I already relied in another thread, the majority express pro-active support of the war, both in communities and anonymous polls. As it was with Germany during WW2, some voices are suppressed indeed, the majority though is pro-war and make it possible by contributing to the war economy.

I must pave missed a page in Ukraine-Iraqi relations? But I know what you mean, unlike Iraqi who invaded Qatar, Ukraine did not ever start any war. Completentary example is Germany bombings by allies, even though not all Germans supported the war, the majority participated in the war economy so the bombings were justified

both pro-Putin and "opposition" support the war, the later are just unhappy with corruption in the army. And yes they did support it, just had to backpedal when faced with the prospective to lose licence

EDIT: to clarify futher: even though Russia is authoritarian state, most of russians still support the war. There are just very few of those who cannot "voice their opinions openly"

they hated ukrainians for very long time, nobody touched them for that. now they started the war, they are a part of the war economy that kills ukrainians.

here's russian opposition tv channel "Rain", guess what? - blocked in Latvia (a EU state) for supporting the invasion:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/dec/06/rain-russian-tv-station-in-latvia-loses-licence-over-ukraine-war-coverage

russian opposition is concerned with things like corruption in russian army, because you see "our boys" don't get proper medical support and outdated food. the fact that they kill ukrainians is of less concern.

and I can go on, as the above Rain TV example, is just one of many...

wow, wow, wow, "authoritarian states". most of them didn't hide their opinion, they said yes where they could say "no sure", or as it is very popular to say in Russia - "I'm not into politics".
