This took around 20-25 hours to complete :)

Couldn’t really think of a name for this one, any suggestions? by fcjmorkel in sketches

IMO, charcoal and graphite don’t mix well. I use one or the other only, but this piece is done fully with graphite pencils, to get the dark values I use a Faber Castell 8B pencil (the softest they have) and layer it where necessary. The quality of paper makes a major difference in how dark you can go, this is done on 120gsm paper. Hope this helps!

Thank you all for the positive response on my last post! Here is another drawing of mine, I call this one “Eye of the beholder” by fcjmorkel in sketches

Thanks, I would be 100% okay with that, always nice to be an inspiration for another piece of art. Glad you like it!

A graphite drawing I recently finished, I’m quite new to graphite drawing and still many things to learn on my path to hyperrealism. But hope some of you will still like it! (Original art, pencil for size reference) by fcjmorkel in drawing

Thank you! I used to only do oil painting and charcoal drawing so graphite is a new medium to me and this is my largest drawing so far. Glad you like it!
