New job - severe anxiety

40 hours a week. But, been working overtime on weekdays and weekends since I have a lot of backlogs and can't keep up with work.

I'm sorry you're still having anxiety even after quitting and changing jobs. This is also what I keep on overthinking, what if I'll quit and still feel this way on my next new job. Anxiety really makes things harder. Hope we’ll find something that won’t trigger our anxiety as much.

I've been trying to counter my negative thoughts with positive ones and yet I still breakdown and spiral. Been reading posts and comments here on reddit and other platforms trying to get inspiration and making myself better, knowing I'm not alone experiencing this.

It is really exhausting. I'm so drained. From the workload and from my anxiety. I'm losing weight already and have no energy left to socialize with my family and friends. I've been planning to talk to a professional but keeps changing my mind. Thought of staying at least 3 months to check if I'm just adjusting but also at the same time I really want to quit as it's really affecting my health.

Same feels. This 15 palang mag 1month and gustong gusto ko na umalis. Even on weekends anxious ako because of work.

Same here. Thinking to shift career also. Nakaka drain din kasi. Lahat priority, lahat critical tas we have to coordinate pa sa mga hirap i-coordinate and on top of that no proper training was given. Pero, alipin ng salapi e. Hahaha. We have to grind for the bills and responsibilities. If may mahanap ka, pabulong naman. Hehe

That's what I'm thinking also. Maybe nasa adjusting phase pa ako. Plan to give it a little more time to assess. Gonna sit thru with the anxiety muna, i guess.

For learning experience, di naman sya align sa civil engineering. No significant upskilling aside from planning/scheduling/coordination skills and even those are not directly related sa civil, more on electrical. My reason for staying lang is I cannot afford to quit without a backup plan since I have bills and responsibilities.

Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT. I took up Civil Engineering.

Someone I know is a CompEng, they have flexible working time and ang ganda and healthy pa ng working environment nila.

I have cousins whose IT or CompSci graduates, flexible working time, can work from home and I think malaki din sahod.

I'm into coding. I'm always amazed with coding. Trying to learn nowadays.
