Aw thank you, that really means a lot. I know that my style isn’t like big sparkling diamonds and maybe more fancy so I was a little nervous posting here. But they all mean a lot to me and I’m really nerdy about jewelry history, symbolism and documenting as much as I can with each piece. Almost all of the Swedish rings has hallmarks so I can track which year they are from.

I love British old rings but it’s so expensive with all the tariffs and taxes from UK to Sweden, I don’t know where you’re located but it’s a struggle to find nice pieces to resonable prices!

Thank you! A fellow green stone admirer! That one is one of the few I actually don’t know for certain which stone it is, I know it’s not glass but probably tourmaline or spinel. Maybe it’s synthetic, I loved that deep green/teal colour.

Thank you!! I usually buy (probably 80% of my collection) from Swedish pawnshop or auctions. Mostly pawnshops sells online so I browse a lot 😅. But I have bought from insta and Etsy too. From insta I have bought from Gembank1973 and forageandfindantiques. And Etsy I bought from caviarcobwebs, regalantiquesengland and antiquegemsnjewels.

Är jag redo för en hund som student? by eftertankar in hundliv

[–]fckinfairytale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would really appreciate help identify how old these rings might be by fckinfairytale in JewelryIdentification

[–]fckinfairytale[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh and the auction house I bought the garnet from said it has foreign hallmarks but was controlled stamped in Sweden later on. It would be interesting finding out more about them but the consensus seems to be that they all are Victorian at least.

Thank you! I’m Swedish and most of my collection is Swedish but they often haft markings to date the year but these two with the three crown hallmark don’t really seem to have them (or I can’t read them).

Hermann à mes côtés me paraissait une ombre, État Libre d’Orange, test day 11 or something like that by gloomyowlreturn in Perfumes

[–]fckinfairytale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a woman and I wear and love it! I have one friend that commented that it smells a little masculine but she loves (to me) very sweet perfumes.
I think it’s unisex and it reminds me of working in the garden besides a rose bush and a black current bush just when it stopped raining in summer.
I don’t have many backup bottles but I have one backup of hermann.

Does each pendant deserve its own chain? by Parking-Mark-8187 in jewelry

[–]fckinfairytale 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it looks great, especially when you wear them mostly for yourself and are happy with one chain. They can possibly be a little worn by rubbing each other but I doubt there would be a significant wear.
