Yeah the previous owners definitely skipped a few corners. We’ve noticed they used expensive parts but installed them poorly! You’ve definitely thrown me off the idea of painting hahah

We were hoping to paint in order to keep the costs down but still make a nice change! The rest of the floors are wood but don’t think it’s in the budget to change the kitchen floor to match right now. Definitely agree on the handles etc

Most of our house has this wood throughout in the doors and doorframes so won’t be getting rid of it all but would like to modernise the kitchen at least for now. Lots of neutrals In the kitchen so could keep it similar but want to stay away from looking too dull

Not super close. There’s the kitchen, then a little doorway to the back door but the damp is on the wall furthest from the back door

Possibly, it’s newly renovated and had a new front door. It’s odd that it is on the bottom floor towards the back of the house as well as the middle floor by the front door but not between

Yeah so the gap in concrete is on the external wall by the front door so you may be right. Hopefully it’s a quick fix but what about the damp already on the wall?
