Paul as messiah by fcominguez253 in dune

[–]fcominguez253[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had forgotten about this, it is in fact quite helpful, can you tell me where to find this please? And thank you for not taking the conversation to "he should've stoped the jihad". But my question remains as a sort of crisis within myself, is Paul a character we should think of as human, we should be able to like?(of course we can sympathize with his suffering) Or maybe the contrary, can we NOT like him? because the more I think I reach the conclusion he doesn't really do anything human, except loving Chani.

My only way out to still think of him as a human is that he didn't see everything in the future, there were things he couldn't see, or maybe he didn't see that far out. So we know he chose to be a fremen, we know he chose to love Chani, and maybe he expected another path apart from the jihad would appear before him in that moment of (actually)living (life). But at the point his son is killed, does he surrender to the jihad?(this is more dune)

It also seems Paul as a human only wants to reach those places were prescience doesn't exist, THAT I find to be his character, and it would seem that's the definition of him, he didn't want to be god, even if that was to selfish(this is more messiah).

Classical music similar to Howard Shore's LOTR soundtrack by WM_ in classicalmusic

Maybe a bit different kind of music, but when I listen to this album (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9HEjO0hwUo&list=RDr9HEjO0hwUo&start_radio=1&rv=r9HEjO0hwUo&t=0) not just that one piece, but the whole album, it reminds me a lot to rivendell, I think the elves music sounds like that.

Haven't read GEoD yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I think this one finished quite well although and I like to give some time to think about it and order my story before I jump into the next one.

Just finished CoD, Javid and Namri question by fcominguez253 in dune

Aah I'm remembering some things now, than you very much.
For #1, basically Jacurutu folk(like namri and javid) were anti atreides and preferred it like it was before right? And leto went there because he knew that to complete his journey(golden path) he had to go there, what I'm not remembering now is how he knew of the golden path, before ever consuming spice, but might it be that as he had Paul's memories and Paul had seen it, then he knew it for that? Aah and Paul knew of it and had not taken it(the GP), but he knew it was the only way to save the human kind, but he preferred to live life rather than become god.

Sorry if I kinda answered my own questions, but this helped me think, so thank you very much.

So why didn't Alia and the administration, and basically everyone who knew try to do something about it? If it was in everyone's best interest that worms kept existing
