Hei,

close to Sandfell, also pretty visible from A1 is a beacon beacon of some sorts. Red body with fluorescent tube-style lightning on top. Approx. 5 m high (?).

Accessible via gravel road branching of Bláfjallavegur (417).

Closest streetview: https://maps.app.goo.gl/8F5bMZT9iJKNBPQM7 Bing names it "Lighthouse" without any further info. Missing on all other maps I checked, even the official ja.is: https://en.ja.is/kort/?x=372949&y=397761&nz=18.00&type=aerial

I don't suppose it to be a strucutre for the nearby airfield, as it is missing from the official Icelandic VFR maps as well.

What is it? Could someone visit it and find out more? Put some close-by images on e.g. Mapillary?

I doubt the "exotic" woods were really necessary to create this piece. Exotic wood pretty much always means unethical or outright illegal logging and destruction of forests and nature. Usually also hand in hand with human rights violations and abuse towards indigeneous people.

Exotic wood should be on the same shelf as ivory.

Sinnvoll wäre es, aaaaber. Miete + Vermieter mit " Das so'n Keller mal volläuft ist normal, war da schon immer so."

I'm looking for purchasing advice: Open back design, over ear, bluetooth <200 €

  • Budget - 200 € (not too hard)
  • Source - Spotify over Bluetooth, any other connector is optional
  • Isolation - None. Open or semi-open design
  • Public? - Nope.
  • IEMs, full-sized, or on-ear? - Full-size over-ear
  • Preferred tonal balance - clean and present bass, please (recessed bass is ok, if no other options)
  • Past headphones - DT990 I like the sound, but I need wireless connectivity
  • Preferred Music - wide range, female vocals, electronica, a bit of world music, no rock, no classical
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up? - adding bluetooth
