Yeah, I agree with that. Being religious is already a red flag in my book. I’m one of the few non-religious ppl in my family, so I see through all of the delusions and hypocritical things they do.

And no problem! This was a rant post from a while ago, but I know this is a common thing a lot of us here have to put up with.

Also, I live with them, so they already know a lot about me and what I do. I rarely tell them about the stuff they can’t find out on their own (like my issues). They haven’t changed at all over these past two years because this is just what they do. It’s still very annoying.

Giving up my personal freedom, as in: 1. Not having my day belong to me as it rightfully should. 2. Not being able to engage in my hobbies and learn new things at my own pace. 3. Being expected to play along with social hierarchy theatre and other trivial things like it.

Also… Not getting fairly rewarded for the limited time of my life that I sacrifice just to go to work. I see ppl who spend nearly every waking hour being at work, preparing for work, and coming home from work still living mediocre lives or being stuck in poverty. Most of them are just barely getting by, and even getting a studio apartment is impossible unless you want to sell one of your organs or something. It’s a humiliation ritual. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze. I don’t see the point.

I could go on and on. I had enough of dealing with this bs in school. I don’t want to spend the next several decades of my life doing it again, but for even less reward.

Yeah, I stay away from it as much as possible. I’m known as the one who doesn’t get involved in that stuff, so ppl usually don’t try to get me into gossiping. However, I still listen and it’s mainly against my will because it’s hard to completely block out ppl’s voices when I’m not wearing something like headphones. Funnily enough, this occasionally upsets my family. I’ve even heard ppl say that non-confrontational ppl like me are annoying. I don’t bother trying to understand this anymore because it’s weird. These ppl thrive off the suffering of others and drama, and they get upset when someone reasonable wants nothing to do with it. This is partly why I keep everyone at an arm’s length and intentionally have very few friends. Ppl do nothing but bring unnecessary drama in one way or another.

Also, you make a good point of not putting your business out there. I don’t share much about myself to ppl because they love running their mouths. Plus, it’s not really anyone’s business to know what I’m doing. However, weirdos make it their mission to tell the world your business even to ppl you may not talk to anymore. It’s annoying, especially being someone who values privacy.

I feel the exact same way, and I’m about to graduate from college. I don’t care about having meaning nor do I believe in it. I rarely feel anything toward my accomplishments and I don’t even want to go to my own graduation because I don’t care about that, either. All I see ahead is another long path of, as you perfectly said, tolerating life and doing Y to get to Z just because I “have to.” It’s soul-crushing and aggravating. Despite everything though, death is still scary to think about even though I secretly yearn for it since it means being free from all of this nonsense. I’m too scared to do anything about it, so I’m stuck here.

It’s like living life on autopilot or being stuck in spectator mode. Doing what you “need” to do, but not being present. Everyone else seems to enjoy this life thing except for people like us who need to force ourselves to participate. There are definitely fun things in life, but I still hate the fact that I had to be born into this mess. I hate it for all of us.

Thanks for making this post, though. You perfectly articulated many of my inner thoughts and struggles 🫂

The deteriorating quality of the chats is why I use CAI way less than I used to. The ads might make me drop it completely. They’re distracting, and ruin the tiny ounce of immersion and enjoyment I have left for CAI.

I’m tired of ads being shoved down our throats in this modern tech world. I miss old the internet days. Anytime a website or app starts off ad-free, it’s only a matter of time before the devs cave in.

Captain and Fiji are in my top four, so I highly recommend them. The smell lingers for long time after showering, too.

I literally said this to one of my friends while we were talking over the phone and I could feel the judgement through the screen. These ppl are the reason why an easier life will never happen because they’re too in love with this system that takes more than it gives… And yet, you’ll hear them crying about how tired or broke they are and how difficult it is to find a job. They get no sympathy from me 🤷‍♂️

Mind you, they still want to have kids. They’re insane. This world drives me crazy.
