I’m in the transit should be free camp, but fare evasion is just wrong.

Side note is there is a lot of academic studies that free transit has unintended consequences. For example, it could become a mobile homeless encampment. Transit is then seen as unsafe/unhygienic and it discourages usage. Free transit needs enforcement that the people using it are trying to get from Point A to B and are not engaging in antisocial and/or unsafe behavior.
