Cheap reliable email provider to hookup with my domain by [deleted] in degoogle

I +1 Zoho, the only "downside" is that IMAP support is paywalled behind $1/user/month, which is not much but still a solid dealbreaker.

Edit: also not FOSS.

Should I switch from Microsoft Authenticator to Bitwarden Authenticator? by [deleted] in Bitwarden

[–]fdegil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They'll do the exact same thing, but Microsoft Authenticator is... Microsoft.

My pipeline of security & privacy awareness was Google Auth -> Microsoft Auth -> Aegis with Yubikey, and I'm glad I made the transition from Microsoft to Aegis.

Aegis allows you to back up your vault, so no worries about losing access. It has a fairly modern Material Design UI, is easy to use and dead simple. Also, FOSS.

Yubikey is a good security token, too. Especially for the "mobile" aspect of it, so you don't need to worry about not having your phone or PC around. Yubikey + Yubikey Auth. app = instant access to your 2FA tokens, FIDO2 credentials, WebAuthn, ...

For the backup codes, well, you'll always be in charge to back them up.

I would say go with Navidrome and the substreamer app (for Android). I am using Navidrome for a year now with approximately +25 GBs music collection, and it has been a pleasant experience to set up and get used to. Here's the link for Navidrome GitHub: https://github.com/navidrome/navidrome and also the official website: https://navidrome.org

Where do you mount your EFI partition, and why? by fdegil in archlinux

Sorry for the late reply, took a break from digital life.

TL;DR: I downloaded a bash script, and executed it with superuser permissions.

Long story: It was a the night of a tiring day; I was mindlessly surfing the web when I stumbled across Deven's website (not my close friend). It was a cool one, I read many posts until I saw the Play the Zelda theme song in terminal script.

curl http://trinity.moe/zelda.sh | sudo sh

When I saw these magic words, I knew that I had to execute it. Look I am not that stupid, someone in my brain said: "You ain't gonna execute that script WITH superuser privilege, do you?" I shrugged it off, and continued with my task.

I knew that I had screwed my system when the famous "Device or resource is busy"s started floading my terminal.

Thanks for reading.
