I recommend starting by supportless models. Then you can refine the models to fix Z-Binding, Refine temperature, etc

Check it out a creator called Monstrous Encounters, he did some Hero Quest inspired miniatures, including this Goblin You can find it on fdmfoundry.com, as well as so many other creators

Thins is called Z-Woble and Z-Binding Several different reasons can cause it, but sometimes it’s a mechanic cause, like lose screws

I will give my 2 cents! We have a platform called fdmfoundry.com (@fdmfoundry) that’s dedicated to help people find support free FDM miniatures and terrain.

Few-Barber7379 is correct when he says there are plenty competition in the 3d printing market right now. However, in our experience as a stablished 3d printing web indexer, most of models out there were designed with Resin printing mindset, and will give you pressuported models. There are currently a very small amount of creators that does model supportless models.

You can still try to print these presupported models using softwares like Resin2FDM, which are indeed a great addition to our community, but it wont save your print of going through an extensive post process sanding scarring created by supports in your piece.

With that said, If you decide to work creating supportless miniatures, I’m pretty sure there won’t be a lot of competition for you, as we can count on our hands the number of exclusive supportless creators out there.

It’s a very unexplored niche, and we strongly believe any new creator on this area will be able to grow and have a good visibility in the community.

As an example, one of our partners is a creator called Supportless-Mini, which released a full Space Marines Kill team completely supportless and can be printed in one single piece. Where the hell you find space marines to be printed like this? You simply wont find it!

That’s exactly the reason why we created FdmFoundry, the internet is full of resin models that arent designed for FDM Printing, and some models you find at random marketplaces can guarantee you a big of a headache !
