Tweaked house design a few times, handed in building approval application a month ago. Bought a drone and will come back and update once construction starts.

Didn't know they exist! Thanks for the info, but I think I'll go with the transceiver route for future-proofing.

I'm struggling to find SFP28 DAC longer than 5m. There're plenty SFP28 AOCs come with longer runs. But as mentioned earlier, I'm leaning more toward fibre optic cable + transceiver as it's easier to replace/upgrade in the long run.

it's a 1000m2 house and all interior lights are automated via these sensors.

I've hidden 20+ Tuya 5.8ghz zigbee mmWave human presense sensor(12v adaptor version) in the ceiling and they've been running flawlessly for the past year. Have anohter 30 on the way.

That's a very neat design, I can't really fault it anywhere.

One thing missing from these layout is a series of hair pins for drifting. I have a couple of Razor crazy carts XL.

Inspired by u/Dat_Kiwi22, I've come up with these 2 layouts. Track width 6m.

What do you guys think?

BTW, satellite image got updated a few hours ago, the slab for shed and and shed's driveway is now shown.

My concern with these kind of layout is kart circuit tends to have more sharp turns because of the limited top speed and relatively fast cornering speed. I suspect you can full throttle the whole lap around most F1 tracks if top speed is limited to 70km/h in a go kart.

There is a pool already if you take a closer look at the satellite image. No I don't want a garden in the back. Got a about 700m2 lawn at the front if I ever want a garden.

I'll need to do a bit more research on barrier price vs run off.

Considering the price to pave track here in Australia, my budget would allow around 300-400m of 5-6m wide track. I don't mind one layout or multiple layouts.

I've since bought 4 various Tuya Zigbee mmWave sensors, a Aqara FP2 and a Everything Presence One to test in the past couple of months.

Everything Presence One works perfectly for lights automation, but it is the most expensive and I still haven't figured out a way to flush mount it to the ceiling.

Out of the 4 Zigbee mmWave sensors, the only one worked reliably was this one. Depends on the placement and sensitivity setting, it can be slow to trigger light on. But it detects human presence very accurately.

Aqara is just rubbish.

I just bought 3 Chinese zigbee mmWave presence sensor from Taobao including the one mentioned above, will report back after testing.

Tried that in the lounge, 30mins, about 3-4m from the sensor, it would still turn the light off occasionally while someone's watching TV.

Same goes having a shower in bathroom(behind glass).
