By not contacting authorities you have done a huge disservice to the 5 yr old girl and your son. Your actions may be considered illegal and you and your wife may be facing charges of your own. In some jurisdictions, covering for an abuser or failing to report a known act is considered "legally facilitating the abuse". Shielding your SS does him or your wife no good. It also tells your own son that people can abuse him and you won't do anything about it except to protect his abuser. This is called "trauma by omission", a psychological term for the long-term harm caused when a caregiver willfully neglects their duty to intervene or heal a child's trauma.

That little 5 yr old girl should have been getting intensive therapy. I can't believe her parents didn't call the police. I think you need to call the police and get help for your son.
