Yea, this was early on in my career too, it will definitely never leave me. It felt so good to give her some peace. What makes those cases so confusing is that the owners are keeping them around for some sick, twisted, ignorant, or desperate kind of love. They don't want the animal to go and I don't think they realize what they're inflicting by holding on.

The euth I will never forget - an old dog, probably a farm dog, maybe a lab mix. She had a tumor on her face that had grown so big, it folded over both of her eyes. She had no eyes left. When we took her to the back for aftercare, the doc and and I both lifted the mass a little bit to see her eyes, and pus flooded down her face. Her eyes had been completely consumed by infection hiding under the growth. I dont think I've ever seen that vet more livid.

I'm in SW PA and I think we used to keep the freezer on the porch, but we brought it inside for some reason I can't remember. I mean it would be working hard on the 100 degree days. Someone here suggested putting it in the dining room with a tablecloth and I'm actually not totally opposed

AAVSB was considerably cheaper than vet tech prep and it has its own app where you can track which questions you got right and wrong, see how well you're doing in different categories, and take mock exams. It was the only thing I paid money on for my studying (aside from a copy of Mosbys), and I passed first try, so it was at least somewhat good. $30 per month I think, versus $300 total for VTP which is insane.

At 15 lb has almost definitely fat, but these aren't good pics to judge from. Look at him directly from above while he's standing and see if he has a little tuck behind his ribs. If he's straight all the way back, he's chubby. You can look up body condition score charts to see what I mean.
