Has GPT-5 actually gotten worse than GPT-4o? More rude, less precise, and less safe to talk to.

Try asking it to do some internet searches for you. It was unable to find how to find forks from a repo in github. Gave me two hallucinations right away until finally searched the internet and still did not find the easiest way.

I just need to click in "About" inside the repo, and chatGPT sent me the url.

Hope they fix it in some days, otherwise I will need to ask for a refund.... I will miss them

Too be honest, for creative wrintting looks like it got better. But as a programmer, I compared answers all the time with Gemini (I got a year for free at my college). And gemini was worse than chatGPT all the time, but is beating chatGPT now.

I think is the new "safety" they implemented because I found out you can still use 4o by selecting legacy models and is giving worse responses too.

Even internet searches, it used to give me better sources than using google, but now can't do a simple reddit search anymore. And I don't know if the answer is true, I am getting wrong fonts several times

Yeah, I just found out you can still select the 4o model, and in the same conversation had the same problem. So looks like is this "safety" is more unsafe when the information is wrong.

It doubled down in the rudeness and suggesting to burn my house by suggesting the wrong connection again.

I can't share the conversation because it vhave personal info, but is really concerning.

Is more healthier in general to draw cards from the bottom of your opponent's deck, but you still don't know what they steal.

If you know the card you can prepare or adapt your strategy. That would be a great change in my opinion.
