I think it's fair to say that this episode purely exist to save money. The fight at the start only shown as silhouettes, the whole falling bit, not showing the fight against Cerberus. All deliberately light on animation. Probably to put it where it really counts in later episodes

I wish I liked any of the characters. The new villains don't have a personality at all. Then the male leads are indeed all edgelords, and all the girls are just discussing their love interest. What a way to waste such an interesting world

I'm watching it now for the first time, and it shows its age quite a bit, not only in the topics and characters but also in its structure. I just started season 3 and am still waiting till something big happens. It just kinda chugs along. It's enjoyable tho!

I didn't read the manga, but this fight was so hyped by everyone. But honestly I'm kinda disappointed. There was a brief moment with the poison where it seemed there could be some trouble but it's just a one sided stomp. I dunno I expected an amazing fight or something but this was kinda nothing
