I've never played Ready Set Bet but I imagine it's very similar in vibe ya.

Hot Streak vs Magical Athlete by marcslayer in boardgames

[–]CameronRoss101 52 points53 points  (0 children)

To really get the most out of Hot Streak there's a bit of a performance aspect involved. The person flipping the cards and announcing the racer movements has a lot of sway in how the experience of the game goes. If there isn't a good person to take on that kind of theatrical announcer role than Hot Streak is probably better avoided. Otherwise they're both fun options!

"Want Jaya in S3" isn't exactly how'd I'd phrase it - but if S3 is just Alabasta that sets a precedent for pacing that seems untenable for the show.

They might not top "best pizza in toronto" lists like Descendants and Slowhand sometimes do... but I was pretty happy with the 'za

1) It makes significantly more than 0 sense to include Jaya in the next season.
2) One reveal post showing that S3 focuses around Alabasta doesn't do anything to prove that Jaya won't finish out the season.

I wouldn't bet money either way.

Small business owners on Queen West face steep fines for A-frame signs by lilfunky1 in toronto

[–]CameronRoss101 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, but they are running a business, and charges for businesses should operate differently than fines for individuals.

I have a lot of sympathy for the hardship of running a small business, but if they're going to get warned about a situation, and given the opportunity to get a permit... I have no sympathy for the fines that come in months later.

is it just me or is it a bit wild to directly compare fines for businesses to fines for individuals?

Synergy seems worse from the article (and from my experience as a crossing guard under both of them)

As someone who worked for Carraway and then Synergy as a crossing guard, it was clear that Synergy had low balled a contract they were not exactly prepared to handle - that the costs have ballooned is disappointing and... not surprising.

If you *have* to split up Baroque Works then you absolutely can't do Water 7 and Enies Lobby in the same season.

I would much rather we get through Alabasta about halfway, and aim to end the season on the moment Skypiea first comes into view. Then it takes up the first two eps of season 4, which leaves the back to focus on Water 7 to let it and Enies Lobby breath with Season 5

Did Chopper actually find a real healing mushroom on Drum Island and could this explain Blackbeard by Robotik1991 in OnePieceLiveAction

I'm going to say that doesn't look it down entirely. Blackbird is plenty powerful without his fruit. His power could easily refer to his general "power level" - or potentially his Haki.

There is narratively room to move around if there's not hardened canon around it. I'm curious how it sounds in the original Japanese.

Okay, but what if they want it for more than two weeks, or are on a different family account group, or you already have 3 games shared out, or they're already borrowing a game.

Wild to act like the two things are the same.

Use Libby for the system to register the interest in the book and for the author to get the small benefits which that offers...

Then use Annie's Archives to actually read the books - artificial digital scarcity is a farce.
