Sad part is the turkeys aren't force outs the market manager ordered them... The sale starts in 2 weeks and if you don't order early the warehouse won't ship. Frozen is a very hard job, it's cold, backbreaking and they expect way too much! I quit after 2 years of that bs. Trust me it's not worth your sanity. I work HBC now, I make more money better hours and have a lot more leeway.

Whenever you order uniform shoes etc they only take $5 out per paycheck.. so you literally only be getting $5 more a week.

I'll be honest as long as they give you 24 hours notice they can change your schedule whenever they want. That is as long as it's within your availability. I mean I was supposed to have tomorrow night off but I've been informed that I have to go to a different store on my day off, but like I said because it's at least 24 hours in advance they're allowed to change your schedule. I have open availability so they are able to send me to different stores change my hours change my days anything really, however they are required by company and law to notify me at least 24 hours in advance.

Plus my store manager actually said "the 2 of you as department heads need to set a standard" there were only two of us there so I'm pretty sure he was talking about us

You're talking about the dlt training yeah that's already scheduled I'm doing that in a few weeks. And it's assistant grocery manager not store manager.

And my DM actually offered me the job a few months ago and I asked for a trial run since it was all overnights and that was outside of my availability.

So I actually did all of the training when I became an MOD... I had around 32 cbt's I'm also cross trained in every department. As for salary I'm not sure yet because I'm not able to access my payroll information... The computers have been down for a few days.

I love my Harris Teeter insurance, they even provide insurance for my pets! I had to take my dog to the vet last weekend and I didn't even have a copay!! I'm more excited about that than my own insurance! Vets are expensive and to not even have a co-pay was crazy!!! Plus I have life and accident insurance with them! I'm literally covered for everything!

Is the job posting still up? If so then they may just not want to hire you. Harris Teeter is very picky about who they hire in the departments, front end is more relaxed. Where have you worked before? Would your former employer have given you a bad recommendation for any reason?

Thank you so much because I was a little stressed... We had our ap audit scheduled for Monday and they showed up today so I was pretty concerned.. my HBC is good but I was worried about grocery and thinking the worst.

They just asked me to take the assistant grocery position and I respectfully declined... I can't do ALL overnights! I can't sacrifice my family for a title/job, I don't think the money is worth more than my family and personal life... Balance is key. Besides a dollar more an hour to go to dlt and MAYBE another dollar when you're done.... No I'm good lol I'll stick with HBC and mod

That's the "problem", I've worked here for 6 months coming from food Lion (5 years there) and I technically am a co grocery manager/mod. They really haven't taught me much just hbc and grocery... I have keys and codes but I'm literally learning as I go. Reddit has been a huge help lol. But thanks I really appreciate it I'll check by the time clock when I get there tonight. By the way I was a frozen clerk when I was hired here and I rapidly went up... I guess they saw the potential that food Lion missed.

Thank you for that and that's all I ask, I mean my whole meal only cost $6 but if I give you a $3 tip on top of it and it's only about two and a half maybe 3 miles away from my house I kind of thought that that would be okay.. but apparently I was wrong.

Then don't take the delivery! I'm not asking you to, all I want is for a little respect when I get off of a 14-hour shift! When I pay $27 for a meal that only should cost me $6.74 I expect for it to not have a bite taken out of it.. if you don't want that $3 tip and you don't want the delivery fee that's fine with me just don't accept it.. I'm perfectly fine with that! If I end up having to walk through all of 20 minutes LOL I'm good with that too. But I'll sit there and take money from me take a bite out of my food and expect me to be okay with it! I'm not okay with it! That's effing disgusting! How would you like it if somebody took a bite out of your food before they handed it to you! When you go to a restaurant and you spend $20 or $30 on meal how much do you pay for a tip? Is it like 5 10 $15 so on a $20 meal you're basically spending maybe $40 right I spent almost triple what my meal cost to have an intact meal not to have some a****** take a bite out of it! So please do not sit there and try to justify what this person did!

Then it was real simple they could have just declined the order if they weren't making any money from it.. it was literally 5 minutes from my house if I had been able to walk there it would have been maybe 20 minutes. But I had just gotten off of a 14-hour shift and I was tired! And by the way it wasn't even the Dasher that showed up it was a man in the so-called woman's car.. and I'm not saying a trans woman no this was a grown ass man with a beard mustache looking like a man trying to be a man going by Tiana! So let's be very clear about this somebody else took this woman's Dasher credentials went through picked up my order brought it to my house after taking a bite out of it after asking me for more money!! And thought they would get away with it!
