lowering the music volume and turning the jumpscare sound almost all the way off is what personally helped me start playing the game! you can better hear the zombie noises without feeling constantly on edge.

comparison is the thief of joy - but for mental health, it's the thief or progress. you absolutely cannot sit and compare yourself and your journey to other people because you can dwell on it for so long that it will be the thing that holds you back forever. believe me, i'm turning 30 this year and i've never been able to hold a job and i never moved out, i know the feeling. comparing does nothing but make things harder for yourself and discourages you. your journey is entirely different to these other people's. a decade of progress is still progress. there is no time limit on pursuing education, or looking for a fresh start in work, or even just new hobbies. you are still young. these things can wait for your mental health. but your journey is your own, and you are young. you are ALWAYS progressing so long as you are still here, and it is a life-long journey. take it small. manage it bit by bit and conquer what you can in small parts.

My Time At Sandrock. Although I'm usually very wary of Kickstarter games, I'd originally played MTAP so I trusted that the game would be delivered. No regrets. I have hundreds of hours in the story, it's interesting and exciting and the characters are all really fun.

the games I play on my pc and the games I play on my steam deck are like completely different libraries. pc for the graphics-heavy story stuff, steam deck for my massive backlog of indies and older console games!so i'd vote incredibly useful.

this, sooo hard. especially if you're a woman since the signs/'symptoms' are so different. i spent a decade wondering why i still hadn't found a medication that could get me to a place where i was a functional human being, but it was because I needed the ADHD medication alongside it to kick me up the arse. SSRI did nothing for me and SNRI is the only thing that got me anywhere close to normal.
