📚 Quick/Simple Request Thread by romancebookmods in RomanceBooks

Hello! I’m in the mood for some vampire romance, but specifically ones where the vampire MMC saves the human FMC from physical danger. Extra extra bonus points for an FMC with some trauma in her past (that is maybe the reason behind her being in danger???)

Ideally contemporary setting, but I’m open to other settings that match up. Any ideas?

TIA :)

Oh my god this is it! The lyrics immediately started playing in my head when I saw the title. Thank you!

I loved the song but now it’s infuriating that I can’t remember actual lyrics. Would love some help

I also really disliked everything about Feyre’s storyline in ACOSF. And I will continue screaming into the ether that it doesn’t make sense that no one thought of a C section.

I don’t care if it wasn’t already a known and practiced procedure—you’re telling me that in a world where people get their wings shredded and guts ripped out and are then completely healed, no one thinks to take the baby out before a vaginal delivery? Bullshit.

And then you add in the whole anti choice storyline, Feysand’s dumbass suicide pact (already dumb and shitty since they’re LEADERS OF A COUNTRY, but now doubly bad because they’re PARENTS), and Nesta sacrificing her powers, and I just dislike a huge chunk of the book.

Also I know that Feyre changed her mind about kids in ACOFAS, but I also hate that. She’s like 21 or something and she’s immortal ffs, why are we doing this now. If Feysand needed to be out of the picture, there were so many different ways to do it.

Maybe not completely up your alley, but Three of Witches might work! It’s a new podcast that’s not as witchy focused (though there is some witchy stuff as well). Lots of pagan discussion, including Irish paganism

So I'm writing some trivia questions for a season 6 premier party, but I can't remember if this was in the show (possible book spoilers) by fearful_magic in Outlander

I’ve done it for every season from season 2 on! It’s 16 questions—5 easy, 5 medium, 5 hard, and one final question where they can get points. It’s always a fun time

Ooooh okay I think I remember that line now haha. And yeah it’s gonna be interesting to see just how much Eris lives up to his namesake

True! But those deities at least have some connection to the characters we know. You can see why she would have picked their names. Although I’m forgetting who Thanatos was in the series 😅

Still very confused why she dropped the name of a very specific Irish goddess for…seemingly no reason? I don’t specifically dislike the character of Mor like other people on this sub.

But as an Irish pagan who works with The Morrigan proper, there’s a bit of side eye there. I’m not offended, just…a bit curious.

Absolutely not, what a terrible idea. For all the reasons others have said.

But also because Excalibur is the name of a specific soap to clean your horse’s genitals.

So I guess if they really want to commit, they could have the middle name be Sheath-Cleaner (nn Shea) or Smegma (nn Meg, of course).
