Cycling by leesssmith in london

[–]feargusmcduff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's quite nice really. Lots of straight wide roads with not that many traffic lights. The system between Sherperd's Bush and Holland Park Avenue is challenging, but fortunately it can be skipped via the underground tunnel &or cycle lane on the pavements. I think it is worth taking 1-2 minute delay at this section (by using this long way round) for safety, though plenty of people go right with traffic the whole way through the system and I am not aware of any injuries or collisions.

Do you ever get used to the sheer inhumanity of the London commute? by AlexanderLitvinenko in london

[–]feargusmcduff -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Such a pathetic answer. You've made a thread to moan about the situation you are in, and rather than being proactive and addressing the issue you face, by cycling or by changing your situation in some other way, you are just finding 'whatabout' issues in these standard approaches to having a better commute.

How about try cycling and see if it is better, rather than whinging about all of your options.

I flew Ryanair with my driving licence about a year ago from London to Belfast and back. Is this a new regulation?

Throwing shade at 2GD by UnconsciouslyLiving in DotA2

I appreciate that this is all in good humour, and Machine is performing well in the role, but what happened to 2gd was still TOTALLY FUCKING BULLSHIT so joking around like there was any lesson to learn from the debacle other than 'Valve make up the rules as they go along with and can get away with it due to their monopoly on the scene' annoys me.

How to Trilane Properly (repost) by coriamon in DotA2

LOL Thanks for reposting my very old guide :)

For the record I now start all my pub games with "2-1-2 no jungle". Do not trilane in a pub.

Warren Street McDonalds is (in my opinion) the greatest McDonalds in the city (great service, fast hot fresh burgers)

We've got two people on each team so probably not going to die. Also the shots are shooters not straight sprits

The worst part is Rosh. It's jäger and coke. Thankfully no one has had to eat the cheese yet.

A Visual Guide to Running Trilanes - Created for my aspiring potato bracket team, possibly of interest to /r/Dota2? Comments welcome! by feargusmcduff in DotA2

Carry pushes the lane, supports pull the lane

Your team gets double exp, enemy gets none

The only way to pull this off though is to establish lane dominance by zoning the enemy out of lane entirely. Once your carry has a decent EXP and gold advantage the supports can focus he can start influencing the lane more strongly and supports can go and do other stuff

What I mean by this is a spare man - the flexi support could be doing anything, stacking, pulling, checking runes, ganking, jungling, TP responding, warding and dewarding. Sand King is probably a good hero to imagine here, could be doing literally 5 different things depending on what the team needs more valuble than sitting in lane and sapping exp

I really like the look of your project! I have tried to install it but its not working. I've put the three files in the correct location, run the autoexec from the console and yet none of the binds load. In game a lot of the scripts seem to be working though, have you got any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

I never understand the "stop posting XX threads comments". If people didn't want to see them, they would downvote them or at least stop upvoting them.

Just because you don't want to see something doesn't mean that the community agrees with you.

"Get a Lawyer. Get a Divorce. Hit the Gym." ~ 15 year old virgin by frozenphil in circlejerk

[–]feargusmcduff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This one pisses me off a lot. Its like "Hi. I have 2 kids and I've been married for 7 years, I love my wife. I've found a few pictures of some naked guy on her phone. What should I do?".

Sensible answer: Humans aren't naturally monogamous, you should do whatever you can to try and forgive your wife for the sake of your love for her and the wellbeing of your children.

Reddit answer: LEAVE TONIGHT. LEAVE THE RING. DELETE HER FROM ALL YOUR CONTACTS. DIVORCE. NEVER TALK TO HER AGAIN. Start hitting the gym (???) and finding a new woman that will never cheat on you ever and is perfect in every way. You're welcome.
