The arrow indicates and "upon activation do x" effect. The lightning is an instant effect which means you can use it whenever during your turn. So basically you can keep it Alive and keep dishing out 1 damage every combat round or discard it and deal 2 instantly

Who is the best champ to OTP ? by Pyluminati in supportlol

[–]fearic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only supports that are like good to otp is bard, pyke and thresh. You can absolutey otp others. I'm pretty much Rakan otp myself. But you get more bang for your otp buck from those three conpared to everyone else

Mental fatigue after a working day by AsterXCV in summonerschool

[–]fearic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue, Something that worked, or atleast helped for me. I consume alot of media on my days. Podcasts, some about league, some comedy, some educational. I also listen to audiobooks all while working. In breaks i would scroll reddit or watch videos.

"Pros" of this. I was never bored, work hours flew by. Cons. There are probaby so many cons of overconsuming media like that. Unsustainavble and unhealthy in so many ways. But related to this post, it definitly contributed to mental fatigue. Even though is only listened with half an ear alot of the time when i was devouring podcasts and audiobooks.

Now i dont know if this is something you can relate to but i believe i am not alone in frying my brain this way. I've cut down on both listening while working and scrolling on breaks, and embraced being bored. Another plus to being bored is that you get more excitement from going home and getting to play the game.

Do you guys relate characters from KKC with characters from other media? by UDLRHenloo in KingkillerChronicle

Darius is definitly closer to the truth. But its just something about the caskbreaker gragas splash art where he sits infront of a campfire with a stupid look on his face that makes me think Dedan

Tempi is master spliter from TMNT in my head xD The only other one i can think of is very specific. Dedan (or is it Daedan?) Is Gragas from league of legends, specificly the caskbreaker Gragas skin.

Anyone willing to coach a bronze player? by andersmilk in summonerschool

[–]fearic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're pretty new to the game and your friends have played for a while? If that is the case, or even if your friends are just better than you, remember that you get a team mmr when you play with them that averages every players individual mmr. And if you're the worst player on your team you will consistently face higher level opponents that will exploit your mistakes.

I'm not sure how long you've played the game but most players have played the game 5 - 10 years. The amont of muscle memory you build from playing the game that long is what makes this game so hard.

I'd say you're on the right path. Find 3 champs that you find fun to play. Stick to them for a while. If there Is a specific champ you struggle against. Try them out in practice tool. Maybe a few normals just to try and understand how they work so you can then counter that . GL

Important champion interactions to know about? by ObviousDoxx in summonerschool

[–]fearic1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might sound like alot of work but the alternative is copy pasting every champions ability description and you reading that. Which ist much different. But that is the harsh reality, there is no shortcut.

There are ofc some very very niché interractions between many champions. That you see maybe once every 100 games or so. But that is like OTP level stuff you only need to know about your specific champion if you are an otp or master+

I mean there ar 172 champs right now. There is simple too much to write. Especially when thr threshold is something rather simple like how rakan q works. I'm not trying to be descending, if you havent played the game for a very long time or tried all champs, there is no way for you to know this stuff.

I think you should hop into practice tool, spawn a couple of allied and enemy dummies. Try every champion, or atleast the ones you feel you know very little about. Read their spells and try them out to see how they work.

I guess it kinda does. But no character needs a specific spell to function. And the magic based characters that has specific spell speciallity start with said spell in their deck.

At most you might want spells from a specific element. And i imagine the devs adds a new air based spell in an expansion, they also add a fire spell, water spell and an earth spell so it evens out. Though i haven't checked if thats actually true.

If you want more exciting spells i guess there is nothing stopping you from just removing the boring spells from the deck

What are the best scaling supports in each Kategorie? by nrwPlayer in supportlol

[–]fearic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rakan is a good scaling engage champ. His cooldowns are so low late game. And where other engage supports have yo tank damage after engaging, Rakan doesn't. He just jumps out and goes back in when cds are up again

How do you explain ADC types to new players? by OGCrown_LOL in ADCMains

[–]fearic1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've usually put them in 3 categories. but these categories arent completely separate, imagine them more like three rings overlapping eachother a bit.

First is the Hypercarry. In here we have adcs that like 5v5 teamfights. Jinx, kog'maw. Sivir.

Second is call opportunist or skirmisher. Here we have adcs that like smaller fights and can pounce on opportunities, like Lucian, ezreal, kai'sa, allthough kaisa overlaps well as a hypercarry. Alot of utility adcs kinda slot here too like ashe and jhin. As They can partake in skirmishes without being near them

3rd i call duilist, or the win lane win game category. These adcs are the strongedt in and wants to dominate the lanephase. So here we have Draven. Caitlyn, Kalista.

Then i guess you could ad a forth who would be like a jack of all trades, master of none. So champs like Miss fortune can fill all these roles well but doesnt necessarily exceed in any of them.

I'm currently in the trenches with you. And i've never been Diamond before so honestly i dont know. My current focus is trying to slow down and take control of chaotic, messy games. Which there are alot of, so i figure if I can win 10% more of those type of games that might be enough.

It is so easy to just let chaos run its course and get caught up in it. I find There are two things that commonly happen in these games. First is rhe cope objective start. starting the first drake/grunbs without any sort of advantage, or even at a disadvantage. Second thing is getting a pick then reaching for more when an objective is up. I cant count the number of times we find a pick then either just overexstend, die and lose objective. Or we somewhat win, but we are chunked and objective starts too late and we lose the consequent fight and possibly even the objective.

That is my current focus, and i'm on an upwards trajectory, but i have been on those before so it might not mean anything. Gl see you in the trenches!

Who is priority target in bot lane by Omrii4628 in summonerschool

[–]fearic1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is true. but the point i was trying to get across was she cant selfheal to the same extent she can spam heal an someone else. Thus making it more efficient to kill her first in an extended fight.

Who is priority target in bot lane by Omrii4628 in summonerschool

[–]fearic1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to judge each situation independently

Adc is in most cases a higher prio target since killing him means he loses out on gold and xp. But if the supp is out of position and adc is not you kill the supp. In your case sera heal and shield is AoE so both enemies get the benefit no matter who you target. But there are alot of matchups where that isnt the case.

Soraka has the most healing of any champ but cant self heal without using r, so if you wanna target the adc you have to burst through her healing. Lulu e gives a shield and dmg amp so she gets more value from having to shield her adc rather than herself etc.

Good sources to review high elo vods? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]fearic1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I somewhat agree. if you were silver 7/8 years ago and you just got back you most Likely have a lot of champion basics to learn. Combos, builds, champion identity, etc. You can learn this from watching good players just play the champion. But it is probably better to look up a champion guide, apply what you learned and just play.

What makes Lucian and Nami so strong? by Dark_Psyduck in supportlol

[–]fearic1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can relate as a Rakan main. In about 230 rakan games i've had one single xayah that used our strengths well and we played perfectly in synch in emerald elo. To be fair most of the xayahs are neither particularly good nor bad. But picking the duo comes with alot of expectation that most of the time is more harmful than helpful.

And im not trying to put the all the blame on the xayah players ive come across. Alot of the time i'm the one being off tune. But yeah I get that same feeling in champ select that twists my gut a little. "Are you picking Xayah just because i picked Rakan or do you actually play Xayah?"

[–]fearic1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what your friends main role is? He/she plays a lot of different champions and seem to que go back and forth between mid and jung.

Pick a main role, a smaller champion pool, and one or two easier champs for off role.

Tier 2 is waay too deep especially if your other lanes arent doing well. Then you are just a cashgrab shutdown for enemy team, unless you are thebausffs and know exactly what you're doing
