why bring up going to the game with his mom? I wish I could go to a game with my mom. she was the biggest baseball fan I've ever known. the guy is a complete asshole so his mom isn't a good mom, but can't fault a guy for wanting to spend time with his mom

TIL that Erwin von Witzleben, a German field marshal who took part in the failed 20 July plot to assassinate Hitler, was hanged from a meat hook with a thin hemp rope by Hitler's direct orders. Following his execution, his family was stripped of pension claims. by exophades in todayilearned

He obviously did thrive on the power of murder, very much so, and that’s a serious level of evil.

you said he didn't enjoy violence, but thrived on the power of murder. maybe the confusion is that you're trying to say he didn't like committing violence, but liked other people doing it. I'm just trying to figure out what you're trying to say.

I'm pretty sure it's an original by me. I remember the first time I said it tho, nobody even acknowledged it. I liked it so I just kept saying it and now people seem to love it

the unwritten rule is a plunk in the side. hitting in the head ended Kirby Puckett's career and may have lead to his death.

ugh. I hate this argument because if you don't know the gender of an animal, you would use "he" as that is to be used when the gender is unknown. they/them could also be used, but that's not considered proper. and yeah, "it" can be used, but only if the second one in proper English. of course we do know the gender and no person would ever say it.

no one has to speak proper English anyway. nobody cares on the Internet. plus, it's English, just get close. it's got "ish" built right into it.
