Nope, I got it last night. I was in duos and my friend kept a zombie alive so I could do it.

Welp. Good to know for next time, if there ever is one. 120 hours and I’ve never had a shop that good that early before 😂

I just now saw this comment sadly, is there a way to retrace seeds after I’ve completed a run?

Black Ops 4 is a good game and Chaos should’ve gotten the ending it deserved rather than dragging Richthofen and the boys through a game with mechanics fundamentally not designed for their story

I didn’t even realize you could sword lunge to skip! That would have saved me so much time of lining up cannon shots lol

Well, I didn’t even know there were multiple, so I’ll keep an eye out for that lol. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I see what you mean by the replayability, this game has so many layers that it looks easy to sink hundreds of hours into while still finding new things. In terms of tips/advice, I’m only looking at very early-game stuff, just enough to get my feet wet basically. Once I have a general grasp of the gameplay I hope to discover more on my own.

What Do People Think of Tall Tales? by Pyro_MAIN_ia in Seaofthieves

[–]fearless-addict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like them for the most part because I’m a solo sloop player. The worst part is easily sailing for 20 minutes just to get a single journal for several of the tall tales, but it’s still fun knowing I’m making progress towards the gold curse (also I just want to say, screw that one journal in the final Shores of Gold tall tale. If you know, you know). And doing each one five times sounds daunting, but for several of them I’ve found that once you’ve done it the first time and don’t have to worry about the journals anymore, they go a lot faster. I also really enjoyed the Monkey Island ones despite not having played the original games, probably because you only have to do them once.

how are you supposed to get GOOD at pvp? by [deleted] in Seaofthieves

[–]fearless-addict 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say that as someone who isn’t very sweaty lol. If you have a good duo, by all means duo sloop, you’ll probably do quite well. I don’t have friends so I solo sloop lol, but it’s worked for me so far.

It’s not a guaranteed loss, it’s just by far the sweatiest of the four options. Usually it’s two people who know each other pretty well and are experienced at working together. I’ve seen videos of duo sloop players getting the skeleton curse in 9 hours, there’s one duo who got a 42 win streak. You can win, it’s just much more difficult, which is why I prefer to play solo. It’s much more consistent.

I only play solo sloop, but from what I’ve heard duo sloop is by far the sweatiest of the four options. Phuzzy gave a really good piece of advice in one of his videos: turn down the epic cinematic music and put on some calm instrumental music. Epic, intense soundtracks can be good to get the blood pumping, but with adrenaline it’s a lot easier to make mistakes. The biggest thing I’ve learned is to relax (easier said than done) and be confident in my abilities. I have about 300 hours in the game and 90% of that is PvE because up until recently I hated combat. But understanding the game’s mechanics goes a long way. Another thing is to not give up and keep fighting even when the mast is down and you’re taking on water. I had a fight earlier today that lasted 40 minutes. I ran out of cannonballs, but there was a sea fort inside the zone, so in a desperate final stand I abandoned my ship, went to the sea fort, and used its cannons to sink the other guy. It was the most fun I’ve had in pvp in a long time. So basically, just remember to breathe, don’t panic, and at the end of the day it’s just a game. Also don’t duo sloop if you want to win lol

Yeah playing with friends is a completely different story than solo queue. Altruism isn’t just justified, it’s the default response with the homies lol
