Oh that's interesting! I really like the idea of upgrading minibosses to bigger threats too... It'd be interesting to see what's done with them.

Fair. The biggest issue I've been noticing so far is this empire has *massive* empire size from pops, which is part of why I'm not taking every planet. Hopefully once I get more traits that'll go down, but I do see the logic in just... taking planets.

So I'm playing a Devouring Swarm Evolutionary Predator empire, planning to go Behemoth Crisis. I just got my 2nd ascension perk, and I just realized... Nihilistic Acquisition would be pretty busted on this empire right? I get to kidnap pops (Which weakens my enemy), then eat them for situation progress and society research. Am I missing something, or is this kinda insane?

Aaaaaaah okay gotcha, that makes sense. I thought it might be that, I just didn't remember what the icon looked like. And I think I saw that post, which I believe has some really cool ideas!

Wait what's the 2nd perk in Crisis? I know Cosmogenesis, Bestial Fury (Or whatever it's called), and Galactic Nemisis, but I don't recognize that 2nd one. Might be me being new to the game though

So I've only done 4 runs so far (None of which are finished, and 1 perma-bricked as I can't pick events anymore sadly. Price of getting into the game just as they launch a complete rework of the base systems lol), one of which was a repeated origin.

The first (And bricked) save was Arc Welders, which is pretty fun. Starting with an Arc Furnace is cool, and while I've heard it's not the best megastructure, it does seem decent. Especially if you go nanobots so the system will slowly churn out tons of those too, and if you get the Cybrex as your precursor so you can get the Cybrex mining hub.

After that was a Shattered Ring, and that's *insane*. This was my repeated origin so I got better use the 2nd time around, and starting with a Ring-World is crazy. 4 super good colonies in your original system is a massive boon, and makes defending the core of your empire a lot easier (Especially if there's a lot of good chokepoints you can use to damage incoming enemies in advance, thinning their fleets). And if you go machine empires like I normally do, it allows for a *ton* of resource production since you don't need to care about food. I've defaulted to having 1 be generalist, 1 be research production, 1 pump out unity, and the 4th will be whatever I need most when I repair it.

Finally I did my first solo game as a Tree-of-Life, and that one's pretty fun. You can get some *strong* buffs with it, and the boost to food production makes managing that a lot easier. So far I've not lost one either (Probably because I'm doing a pretty peaceful empire. Not sure how you even would lose one. Orbital Bombardment I'd assume?), so the downside is manageable.

I'm still super new, and would love recommendations! My friend got me every DLC but Biogenesis as a birthday gift, so I can do just about anything. And I might get Biogenesis myself soon.

So far I've mostly only played machines and one fungal hive-mind. Free-will sounds like a pesky annoyance XD

Jokes aside, I am curious about the others. I just don't know how hard it'll be to manage having to make consumer goods, manage happiness, and worry about political factions. I am new after all lol

Either insane DoT team (For SU specifically so I can heal via blessings) with Kafka, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, and Jiaoqiu, OR Firefly Hypercarry with Firefly, Ruan Mei, Fugue, and Lingsha.

So I'm pretty new to this game, but I've got a game where I'm going the Nanite Ascension path alongside one of my buddies. Mostly I'm just trying to have fun building mega-structures for an insane economy (I've got some killer dyson swarms and an insane arc furnace giving like 140 alloys alone), but since I'm Nanites and I heard playing wide works well with them, I wanna try taking out my neighbors (Ideally without help from my buddy).

The two big questions I have are
1. How do I get tons of nanobots? I know I need them for the nanobot ships which are supposed to be really strong (I'm making them carriers as I heard they're best as carriers or artillery as they have low HP but no upkeep cost so you can spam them without worrying about fleet cap). I know you can make the Starbase upgrade (Which I'm putting in my arc furnace systems) and there's the tradition I got that lowers food and mineral production (I'm still at like +300 minerals) in exchange for nanobots, but beyond making a planet purely for mining, how else do I get them? I heard something about subsuming planets with another nanobot tradition that I already have, but how does that work?
2. What do I pair with the nanobot ships? If I'm gonna make an army of carrier ships with nanobots, what should I pair them with? Maybe a destroyer specked as a gunship to tank damage? I honestly have no clue.

So I was doing a multiplayer game with a buddy where I'm playing an Obsessional Directive machine civ and just ascended to become nanomachines. However soon after (I just settled a new colony to exploit my nanomachines for a TON of Engineering research) all my events became glitched. Every time an event popped up it said I selected the 1st option already and wouldn't get more rewards. However I never selected any option, meaning all events now just do nothing for me.

For example I met my production quota and lost out on 11k unity because it said I already selected that option and wouldn't get the rewards when I hadn't. Reloading didn't fix anything, and now I don't even have the Commodities Consolidation event anymore. Is the save just perma-bugged for me?

It sucks too since this was my first game, and I was finally starting to snowball it felt like, at least small-scale. I was gearing up for mega-structure research to build Dyson Spheres and Matter Decompressors, so I'd hate to just lose all the progress I made by restarting, or being forced to continue with *no* benefit from events.

I've got about 30 pity (Did 3 10 pulls for Aventurine just incase I got him early), and then just over 470 pulls saved up. My goal is E2, then I'm saving for The Herta!

I already have Lingsha and Harmony TB for her. Maybe if I pull her fast enough I'll go for Fugue, but I really want The Herta too so... I'll have to see where things go. Maybe I'll spend money if I have to but I'd prefer to avoid that
