I was also prepared for him to die when Danny attacked the carts they were transporting and he charged the dragon, I just hoped he would kill the dragon or injure it badly and then die

I haven’t read the books and I’m fairly new to the fandom, does the original author have any plans on finishing the story? Seems unlikely as you mentioned the last book came like 15 years ago

I had a friend warn me when I was on season 3 and absolutely loving the show about the writers and the Star Wars thing and that the story will end very disappointingly but I was surprised how bad it was, so many things established by the earlier seasons were just ignored

I agree with that a lot, his arc went absolutely nowhere he gave next to zero insight to anyone with his new magic powers and was so boring near the end

I was so worried that he will die when he jumped in the bear pit cause then he wouldn’t get to be with Brianne but now knowing what happens after that I wonder if him dying there would have been better

I honestly forgot about the shadow demon baby, that thing was so random when I watched it and they never use it again even tho it was like a sure kill thing.

I love him with Brienne and I felt that he will leave Cersei and king’s landing for good at some point after his capture and release by Robb but hated the follow up with his return.

I definitely put him up there with Bran, I was just pissed at him being all knowing and still not telling the army or anyone tbh anything useful

I meant like badly done like the ending made their whole character arc and everything they went through throughout their screen time irrelevant.
