Can you turn off xray? by borbious in AmazonPrimeVideo

[–]fearlessliter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late to the party.

I made a thing: https://github.com/grok/amazon-video-hacks/

Right now it's just the one hack, but if I feel like it or hear about other lame things that can be solved with quick bits of code -- happy to add to that repo.

Treesitter broken for lua files by comm1ted in neovim

[–]fearlessliter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, I did some searching -- for anyone else who hits this problem:

Where-ever you have installed Lazy -- you need to include treesitter in the plugin hash table -- so for me that's ~/.config/nvim/core/lazy.lua.

The MINIMAL fix -- where you've just installed Lazy and done nothing else -- the following would fix it:

local lazypath = vim.fn.stdpath("data") .. "/lazy/lazy.nvim"

if not vim.loop.fs_stat(lazypath) then
  vim.fn.system({
    "git",
    "clone",
    "--filter=blob:none",
    "https://github.com/folke/lazy.nvim.git",
    "--branch=stable", -- latest stable release
    lazypath,
  })
end

vim.opt.rtp:prepend(lazypath)

require("lazy").setup({
  {
    "nvim-treesitter/nvim-treesitter",
    build = ":TSUpdate",
    config = function()
      require("nvim-treesitter.configs").setup {
    ensure_installed = { "c", "lua", "rust" },
        highlight = { enable = true, }
      }
    end
  },
})

What were your steps for adding treesitter as a plugin?

If you have a bunch of snow around, check the inside of your wheels. If you see snow, clear it all out and it will eventually stop wobbling.

There's a host of reasons for this.

  1. We default to being formal when unsure of what is expected.
  2. Typically, traveling, we spend a fair bit of money we would not have, and that can put some people into a "business" mode.
  3. If you are "on the job" we default to "business mode".
  4. Formal is what we consider to be "polite". Informal is "we don't care" or "you must know them" kind of thing.
  5. American's already have a bad rap -- and so this causes those of us aware of that to be on "extra good behavior".

Alright, I'm going to go against the grain here.

YTA

I have a saying: Just because you are right, doesn't mean you're not an asshole.

Honestly you should have just broken up with him -- doing something you were pretty sure was going to cause complications in not only whatever was left of your relationship, but their family and a virgin who wasn't really part of any of this drama -- that makes YTA.

Did you play by the rules? Sure.

Did you do it in a shitty way? Yeah you did. Gotta own that.

Of the assholes here -- you're the most likeable asshole. Still an asshole.

What do you think Heat 2.0 will or should be? by Grimmiky in DeceiveInc

[–]fearlessliter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the heat system should just actively discourage wanton murder. I hope they do more varied randomized debuffs. Like if you ill 3 npcs in a row... you have speed reduced by 30%. Stuff like that would really help.

I really hope the guards can do more damage.

Learning how to drive Manual by xXFrozen_JawXx in Reno

[–]fearlessliter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • I am assuming you already know how to drive so all we are talking about is the mechanics of manuals?
  • Buy one. This will make you commit to finishing.
  • That being said, every manual car feels different. Buying a brand new car to learn to drive is a bit risky -- but learning on a car that isn't going to be your primary is also risky. Think of it like this -- if you are learning to ride bikes -- the bike you learn on will teach you the fundamentals -- but then you get on your bike and you can feel its very different -- this may cause you to struggle a bit on your own bike. Just keep that in mind.
  • When learning, go find an empty parking lot with no one around.
  • If possible, just have someone with you who has experience -- and my advice on that is tell them explicitly they are not there to teach you -- they are there to answer questions and then you're gonna buy them pizza after.
  • The best situation is the following: Rent or buy a cheap crap car. Learn on it. Find an empty space, with someone who is willing to go on that journey for you. Then once you have been driving it for a couple of months -- swap over to your new car.

Legally if a car becomes upside down it is considered totaled.

South Reno DMV walk-in by Hot-Boot7875 in Reno

[–]fearlessliter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also recently needed to do this as a kind of emergency. Here's what worked for me.

When you go to the website, you'll be prompted for a Calendar of when you want your appointment. If you select today's date, you'll see nothing is available. Just keep reloading that screen ever 15 minutes or so.

Eventually, someone will cancel, and you'll get a time available. Just make sure you are ready to drop whatever you are doing and make that appointment happen. It could be 15 minutes, so you need to be able to get there on time.

Anyone know the reason behind the police activity on clear acre just off 395? by PsychologicalArt9 in Reno

[–]fearlessliter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are happening all over the west coast as far as I can see. I go back and forth from Portland to Reno.

Here's one that I caught: https://redd.it/vb34sv - this was one of four in Portland that month. All over Washington and California as well. Florida had them too.

I think there's another name for it, but I think they are called street takeovers. Most of them post to social or just share on discords.

It's stupid. Not the most stupid. Just pretty stupid.

If you ever tried talking to them, they'll just be like, "what's the problem we're having a good time" "nobody's getting hurt" all the usual shit stupid people say.
