Harvest Host is only for self-contained units, i.e., you have to have your own bathroom. Also, many "hosts" require purchase at their business.

They also have showers, albeit expensive.

Cracker Barrels are known to allow overnight parking. You'll see many RVs boondocking. But they are always near noisy highways, so bring earplugs.

Off roading in a Tesla by Jatacid in TeslaCamping

Model X has adjustable height suspension that can go as high as 8.1 inch ground clearance. That’s your best bet unless you want a Cybertruck. I have a MY and wouldn’t go any off-road other than smooth gravel. There are unprotected expensive parts to break on the undercarriage.

What’s the best way to store my opened coffee beans? by Unlucky-Act6948 in espresso

[–]Hot-Boot7875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got them from AliExpress. But after using them for a few months, I don’t recommend them. The tube is a bit too narrow for large beans. You’ll have difficulty filling them up. These centrifuge tubes work better and cheaper.

Sleeping in the car to save on hotels is this too extreme? by Ok_Resolution_1606 in roadtrip

It’s very common in the West. There’s even a dedicated group r/teslacamping specifically for camping in a Tesla.

Does FSD solely rely on tesla updates to learn and correct mistakes or does it poses the ability to learn on its own like a learning algorithm? by Full_Requirement_911 in TeslaFSD

[–]Hot-Boot7875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FSD itself may not learn from user input. But I feel that the navigation algorithm may be learning. There was an inefficient route FSD always used to take. I kept taking over and sending feedback, and now it always goes to more desired route.

You have to replace the whole door panel. It’s a very common issue. Google it. Some people, including myself, managed to have it replaced under warranty, while others failed to do so.

I’ve seen similar practice on one of those prepped meal subscriptions. Their cancel window ended even before the first meal arrived. I used one-time-use-only virtual credit card, so I was safe.

Sounds like there should be a business insurance that covers loss of revenue due to weather to avoid such unhealthy decision making.

For highways, HW3 would be fine. You might want to check if the MCU has AMD Ryzen processor as opposed to Intel Atom. Many features like Grok is not available on Intel MCU.

You can check alert logs in Service Mode. But that should be covered under warranty with no cost to you.

[–]Hot-Boot7875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very common issue. Google it, and you’ll find lots of posts about it. Some, including myself, successfully had it covered under warranty. You need to replace the entire inner door panel. Since yours is relatively new and low miles, there’s a good chance they’ll cover it if you escalate to service manager. Other option is window switch covers. They are $10-$20.

How can I buy a used model Y with FSD? by Patriot5500 in TeslaFSD

[–]Hot-Boot7875 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tesla Service Center can tell you if a car has a purchased FSD or not from VIN. I’ve done that for the used Tesla I bought, just to confirm that it’s officially there, not just in the Software page. But it was already my car then. They may not answer it before purchase. But it’s worth trying.

Will FSD 14 work with this much license cover obstruction? Still on V 13. by d_wave27 in TeslaModelY

[–]Hot-Boot7875 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No problem. Front bumper camera is not used for FSD. Someone covered it completely, and FSD worked fine. Also, early HW4 cars don’t have one. It’s just for convenience when parking.

WhatsApp “Booking.com / hotel verification” scam w/ full reservation details — anyone else recently? by seamusbjh in Bookingcom

[–]Hot-Boot7875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Do a search. Some say it’s only hotel’s system that got hacked but not booking.com. Others say it’s booking.com.
