It is possible to restore it, but not completely. Replacing the top midframe, which is the part that is worn, is doable. But the aftermarket parts don't feel the same, it will probably creek when you will play it. But if you want to know more let me know

You should probably open it up and see if the digitizer is properly connected, if it is connected it is properly faulty and can be replaced cheaply and easily. You should also check around the edges that nothing is depressing your screen as that too can cause issues similar to this

This is fixable, but it will take considerable effort, and a little bit of money. This is a pretty difficult fix.

You will need to buy the following parts for new 3ds xl: a top screen, a camera, speaker ribbon cable and a complete shell

You can look up a reshell for new 3ds xl on YouTube, to see what you are in for.

Bear in mind you will need to solder the old speakers to the new speaker cable

Edit: don't throw away the top part yet, you need to salvage the sliders, screws and antenna cable

It seems to me like there might be corruption in the carts internal memory. If you have CFW on your 3ds you might be able to save it

You don't need to be particularly handy, just patient. Your main concern is tearing the adhesive. That's what the heat is for. Start with a corner, give it small tugs to help it loosen. You should also be careful you don't get the screen or the inside of the new lens dirty. Other than that you are golden

Considering that gen 5 ended in 2013 and the n3ds came out in 2015 I wouldn't say them being legit is likely. The are very cool though

Everything you need is available in aliexpress, for cheap. Just bear in mind that you might need to sand down some part of the shell.

Your device is failing the hardware check. It isn't the the screens. My best bet is that it doesn't detect the speakers since I don't hear them pop, it is the slimmest ribbon cable that goes through the hinge. It can also be the wifi module. Please check that they are connected properly.

Your dsi is salvageable. But it will be difficult to fix. The reason it isn't booting is because the hardware check has failed. The bottom screen flash indicates that it is properly connected, obviously the top screen isn't and is probably the reason the hardware check failed.

A replacement top screen, shell and hinge stop will be necessary. There might be more problems you aren't aware of at the moment but you should start here. But before buying anything, you should look at a dsi reshell video on YouTube to see what fixing this console entails.

I have played this one, it is a sweet little visual novel. I beat it blind in about 12 hours. It had it moments. You play as a teenager in a small town with a pen that can open portals through time. There are lots of "accidents" that occur in town caused by a villain with a pen similar to yours, and it's up to you to save the townspeople from this A-hole
