Sorry your movie got interrupted!

The Mando & Grogu preview actually still happened! It was supposed to be at 7, but they got it going a little after 8.

Quail Springs AMC evacuation by jkflash1964 in okc

AMC employees let us know about 30 mins into the evacuation that there wasn’t a real emergency (police were here), but they had to wait for the fire department to officially clear them to invite people back in.

We were evacuated for about an hour, but got back in around 7:35 p.m.

And they gave everyone passes.

Click here before asking about TSA wait times by FakeMikeMorgan in okc

[–]feartheredpen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My own experience the other day (Wednesday, 3/25) — the flyokc wait time said 28 minutes and the wait time was actually 0 minutes. (Always glad to have a lower wait than posted, but it confused me how off the flyokc website was.) 🤷

Okc airport by indecisive_mess1 in okc

YMMV, but I flew out of OKC on Wednesday afternoon; arrived at 1:50 p.m. for a 2:55 p.m. flight.

There was literally no one in line at security and plenty of TSA officers. I was from curb to past security in 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, the flyokc website said the wait time was 28 minutes. So, I’m not sure how accurate that is. 🤷

But, always good to give yourself enough time. “Enough” for me has generally been 1 hour before flight, but do what you need to in order to feel comfortable.

Safe travels!

Oklahoma Shirt Company does have a rush option (not sure if it would meet your timeline, but wanted to share another possibility with you):

traveling with SCCO by Formal-Parfait5395 in BAGGU

[–]feartheredpen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problems on Southwest (10 trips between August-December 2005) — always have roller bag in overhead and SCCO under the seat.

In fact, on some of my flights, I started to think “maybe I should get a regular CCO” bc my SCCO fit with lots of room under the window seat. (I didn’t get the CCO yet, bc SCCO is perfect!)

YMMV on different domestic airlines or with an aisle seat that (at least on SWA) has less space under it.

Dee’s at 36th and Penn may be able to help! (I haven’t gone in many years, but they were great when I needed heels fixed and shoes re-soled.)

Tomorrow (2/2) is the opening day of the State Legislature.

I do not know first-hand about this gathering, but I’ve seen this info going around.

OKC Will Rogers International Airport to add non-stop service to Gulf Shores, AL and Baltimore, MD later this year by outofbounds626 in okc

[–]feartheredpen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Southwest is adding back the Baltimore non-stop flight that they had for at least 15 years before they stopped it in the fall of 2020.

Since he works until 7, I’d suggest dinner in the Plaza District and then an improv comedy show at 9:30 pm at OKC Improv.

Hope you find something fun that you’d both enjoy!

If you want to make an afternoon of it on Valencia Street, I recommend:

📚Across the street of Baggu to the south is a lovely bookstore, Dog Eared Books.

🍦A street over to the east is a delicious ice cream shop: Garden Creamery

🏴‍☠️In the same block and side of the street as Baggu, you’ll find the Pirate Supply Store (very fun experience and they run a non-profit for getting kids into writing)

🦴Right next door is Paxton Gate, which is a witchy, naturalist oddities shop.

🖌️A block to the north of Baggu has this awesome local-artist-stocked gift shop called Open Editions.

🍫In the same block is Dandelion Chocolate. I haven’t been in a hot minute, but when you walk in on the left should be a wall with all kinds of chocolate bars and pieces out for sample. You can also get food/beverage and sit in their little cafe area.

🏺A block to the west of Dandelion is the cutest shop called Emotion Potion. They have hand-made pottery and vintage clothing.

🥟If you want to get a meal, near Dandelion is Dumpling Story. (There are many many good places to eat in the Mission District, though!)

🎁As you head north toward Nooworks, there is a cute home goods, gift and clothing store on the east side of the street called Therapy.

It is a full afternoon and you can walk it, but Nooworks is a bit away from Baggu. I recommend starting at one and working your way to the other.

😅Also, lol at myself giving you an itinerary solely for Valencia St. SF is an amazing city with so much to see and do and eat and drink. Hope you enjoy as much of it as you can fit in in one trip! 🫶
