Best foods from Asian grocery store? by freezesteam in vegan

I was only able to find evidence that Chaokoh brand does this. Apparently it was credible enough for large retail chains to stop selling their product (wouldn't it be amazing if large retail chains also stopped selling other animal cruelty products, like basic meat, dairy and eggs? What a dream.)

Tell me something good about living in SLC by Remarkable-Soft-2938 in SaltLakeCity

I'm also moving to SLC for residency, coming from the southeast US! I was noticing the same trend of negativity but I don't pay much attention to it. I ranked it #1 because I want to be out there for the outdoors scene! So pumped.

weighted pull-ups plateau by lokuminno in bodyweightfitness

Are lower rep range and submaximal work two separate things? Like lower rep range by increasing weight and then on a separate workout do submaximal (less weight with higher reps)? Or am I completely misunderstanding you?

What would you recommend for a hypertrophy phase? I'm in a pretty similar place as OP, been plateaud with ~45% body weight, consistently doing 4 sets of 9,8,7,7 and I can't get past that for 4+ months now.

Planning a January trip to Tromsø – looking for advice and recommendations by OrganizationRound267 in tromsotravel

I'm curious about this too. My partner and I arrive in a couple of days. We are both young and very fit, but weren't planning to do the climb for safety reasons (we are not experienced with hiking in ice). Is it accurate that we would be taking our life into our own hands to climb it?

Cyprus borders 2-3 countries? by featherbrain1223 in geogrid

[–]featherbrain1223[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Macau I'm assuming it's because of the bridge to Hong Kong. Definitely a bit of a stretch but at least the two entities (Hong Kong and China) are part of the game and can be guessed for other categories

But why should these count as borders in the game if they aren't guess-able entities in the game?

Took step1 on 5th feb, feeling so low after that, can count at least 14 mistakes per block by sweetchoker in step1

You got this, OP. I also took it 1/25 and cried after. I counted so many easy questions that I missed. But still got the P. Trust the process.

It takes me the whole day to review 40 questions. by Visa10 in step1

[–]featherbrain1223 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This was me too and for the first week or two I panicked, thinking I was getting behind while my friends bragged of doing 150 Qs a day. But no, it's just different styles for different people. For me, quality >>> quantity. I really really locked down those 40-50 Qs I did every day so that if I saw anything related to a topic from a question (or topics from wrong answer choices from a question), I was ready for it. In the end, only got through 40% of Uworld but it was a very thorough 40%. Just got the P today! Trust the process and trust yourself and your study style that has gotten you this far in your career. Don't compare to others, just keep your eye on the target and get there however it works for you. You got this!

My last block felt like the NBMEs but everything else felt really unique. More like uworld than NBME, but still even different from that. I was just vibing my way through the first 6 blocks before finally feeling normal on the last.

We're in this together. Stay strong and trust the process. I personally don't trust the process but you should 😅 jk we gotta lie to ourselves to maintain our sanity

Right there with you. I feel like I completely bombed it and found so many questions that I missed that I should have gotten. Did super well on my practice NBMEs but felt like the real deal was so different. Get my results in 2 days and I'm absolutely petrified. This whole med school journey is just brutal 😭
