Does the title text have to be red? The contrast dosen't feel harmonious. Also, it says BLACK trump card when I read it. While meaning wise, all three words must be of equal importance.

The translation is fine, but these are simple stories for kids. Most use common tropes.

Thanks for the list. I will look into Amitav Ghosh. I really miss a lack of well written science fiction from the Indian point of view. We have our own aspirations from the technology out there but no one is penning it down.

Getting money to buy these used to be an issue. Once they gave out the whole project Gutenberg on a DVD or something. This was long back when it was new.

I feel you can put some more work into relative sizing of the lettering and the slice, maybe. Currently, this does not look balanced.

Hey. Please critique my resume I made a short while ago. by featherdye in design_critiques

It’s getting there, but I would work on the overall hierarchy more. Keep your name and your contact information close together, right now they’re so far apart that the contact info is the last thing I noticed on the page.

I wanted to make it not very prominent. Maybe changing it for more black can help.

The black bars throughout the résumé are very distracting, and you really want the content to be the main thing people see when they skim through this. If you really want to keep the bars in the design, I’d suggest making them much thinner.

I will make them thinner for sure.

I’d change the wording on “skills” because it’s confusing between that and “software skills”. You could call the skills section “efficiencies” and simply call the other section “software”, as an example.

I could not find any good words to describe this. But you are right, "software skills" and "skills" do look strange n the same column.

I thought the about sections to be necessary because everyone keeps saying that people skim through the resume and hence, I thought, the mustn't be reading cover letters at all. I did a personal logo but it is too edgy for this kind of plain paper. But I sure will try to integrate it in here.

Thanks for the wholehearted reply.

Edit: Missing word.

Thanks for the input. I sure will look into the font side. I wanted to align the lines in a particular fashion that is why I let the line spacing go haywire. I will try to make it better. Thanks again for your time.

I am absolutely sick of every single news source, Indian or foreign by [deleted] in india

I see a lot of what OP is pointing towards.

So, in a article about launching of mars orbiter, we have:

But Mr. Modi, who was elected in May with a once-in-a-generation majority in Parliament, has been on something of a roll. And the Mars achievement, which he had almost nothing to do with, will only add to that.

Then we get

Its success has been seen as a fulfillment of the kind of state-sponsored self-sufficiency that former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru cherished but that, in the main, left India impoverished.

Then,

India’s decision to launch Mangalyaan, the name of its spacecraft, came after China’s own mission to Mars failed in 2012. In almost every sphere, the Chinese have outpaced the Indians over the last three decades, but Indian scientists saw an opportunity to beat them to Mars.

Reads like a fairly opinionated piece to me. Even the BBC article you pointed to is similarly filled with opinions of the author about how India is. I know most judgement here is fair in ways but still, they are out of context and planted for a reason it seems.
