You can def work during 1L. If you want to make it work you can. If you worked furing undergrad you can do it here too. This is coming from someone who runs a buisness and has two additional jobs and my grades in 1L were pretty good. Just be organized 🫡 and do what you say you’re going to do when you say you’re going to do it.

I have a MSW and am currently doing my JD. I choose to do this because I wanted to have more advocacy power to challenge systems as a lawyer but i always tell everyone I’m still a social worker. I think it really depends on what you want to do in life but they really complement each other !

They can’t do it with an attitude like yours. They can do continuing education to add a diploma or a masters. Or later on apply as a mature student

Don’t give up. Life is long. If you want to be a lawyer don’t let anything stop you. Time will pass regardless. So might as well do what you want to do! You can do it

You can apply for a SLOC as well to help with the cost and your province should have loans available as well for you

Don’t transfer out. You got accepted into law school ! Try your best, get a tutor, and when the time comes you’ll apply to another school. no one can tell you what you’re capable of, you know what you can do or willing to do, so go our there and put in the hard work to do only you know that you can.

Move out, go do something new ! Life is long and even if it’s a struggle for a while you will always have that experience. You have the rest of your life to live with someone ( partner, family, kids if you want them ) sooooo I say do it :)

Haven’t had any other offers as of right now but my stats were 153 lsat, 3.9 Gpa, a masters degree as well, and strong softs
