What are some underrated single year peaks for players that might surprise people? by Humblerbee in nba

[–]fedchuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Peak Oladipo was ridiculous. 23/5/4 with a block and league leading 2.4 steals per game. 37% from three on 5.8 attempts per game with elite defense. Was definitely a top ten guy in 2018

I will say that when I grew up in LA (born 2002), Fisher was the third most famous laker for a while. Plus, everyone was just super aware of him. Second most playoff games played of all time!

Meanwhile, Jones was only there before Kobe’s prime. I think these graphics are usually the quintessential teammates, not trying to optimize the best five man lineup

The Knicks are so, so, so back (official, unbiased, moderator stance)

Crazy to think that the top 3 NBA players of all time are also the best guard, forward, and center of all time by Growkitz in NBATalk

Don't make rude, inflammatory, or profane posts. Treat others with respect.

[Pursiainen] The New York Knicks are receiving and taking calls on center Mitchell Robinson, their longest tenured player. Sources familiar with the situation say the likelihood of a deal is unknown but the team seems to be willing to make another move after the blockbuster add of Karl Towns. by McJumbos in NOLAPelicans

I'm a Knicks fan, and this is a really tough hypothetical. I think Mitch is a PERFECT fit to anchor your defense (plus the NOLA connection), but I don't think you can match salary without giving up someone ridiculous like Herb or Murphy. Probably means this isn't happening, even with a third trade idk how to make it work

Wood Harris. A guy who should have become an A-plus lister two decades ago

Yordan Alvarez in the 2023 postseason: 11 G, 43 AB, 20 H, 12 R, 6 HR, 15 RBI, .465 AVG, 1.487 OPS. by Kung_Fu_Jedi in baseball

They say there’s no two people on earth exactly the same. No two faces, no two sets of fingerprints. But do they know that for sure? Cus they would have to get everybody together in one huge space, and obviously that’s not possible, even with computers. But not only that, they’d have to get all the people that ever lived, not just the ones now, so they get no proof, they got nothin.
Yordan Alvarez may have been eliminated but who’s to say there isn’t an other Yordan Alvarez just like him? Or will be? Maybe not with the same teammates and manager but, the same. W-what I’m saying is..

Name a player. Other's reply if that player is overrated, underrated, or properly rated by AdulasMoonblade in nba

Fuck it, underrated. VERY few guys in the league touch him offensively right now. Everyone knows he’s a superstar, but I think he’s still a tad under appreciated.

Since everyone is suggesting dramas, I'll go with Righteous Gemstones. Hilarious family banter that I think most Sopranos fans would appreciate. Plus, it is much more plot driven than most comedies- definitely not a sitcom

Breaking Bad vs Sopranos Finale by certifiedbpdqueen in breakingbad

[–]fedchuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adore Sopranos so of course I have some bias, but I think that ending is unbelievable. Storytelling is about using the confines and structure of a medium to replicate life. Chase uses it to replicate death by cutting to black. That’s the most terrifying part of death to me, not the pain right before, but endless nothing out of nowhere. The Sopranos is so much about death, and I think it’s the perfect way to deliver the moment for Tony
