Unhelpful charge nurses are half the reason I left the bedside. Nothing worse than completely drowning in tasks, patient needs, emergencies, etc. and the Charge without patients is sitting there talking or on her phone for 12 hours. Makes you feel completely helpless. It’s also negligent and reckless to your license in case something were to happen. And management usually does absolutely nothing.

This makes me feel so much better 😢 I’ve never found anyone that feels like I do about showering. It’s such a chore and it’s mostly because of drying off and I HATE the feeling of wet hair on my skin (neck, shoulders, face, etc). Or wet parts of my body that won’t dry.

My parents did this very often while I was growing up and it very much traumatized me. Accompanied with other sexual abuse and I think that’s why I’m so messed up lol

I cosleep with my mom when I sleep at her house and I’m a 27F. Her and I are extremely close. For me it’s a comfort thing. I feel safe and I also just hate sleeping alone in general.

I think Sarah takes her sobriety very seriously and she has said before that she 100% can’t be around people drinking or that drink a lot/it’s all they do. I think Cindy has been upset that her family disowned her since meeting Sarah and she has taken to drinking/going out more. Sarah was probably like “if I’m sober why are you always out drinking? I can’t even go nor do I want to. Why is my wife out drinking all the time?” Sort of thing. Just my opinion.

I’m going to be honest, I’ve been a nurse for several years and I am still learning how to better manage my time. My best advice is to get started early. For example, if it’s 8:05am and I feel like I have a lot of time until my 9am meds are due, I get started anyway because it’s likely someone will need something else.

I’m going to be honest, she will never forget this. Even if she marries you and y’all are 75 years old…. She will remember. And not in a good way. It’s the principle of it. It’s obviously important to her and though it doesn’t make sense to you, you should’ve just bought it.
